Why would a team like Atalanta play the game of their lives against Milan only to lose at HOME the week after?
Maybe they're inter's B team. After all they wear the same filthy blue and black shirts!

Seriously - It's not the first time they've lain down and let inter win!

Ok that fuck of a defender they have (Materazzi) almost stripped Doni's shirt down ..

who gets the foul ?? Materazzi .. seems they're back in their game
Typical!

Omg the ref didn't see that?
Selective blindness! :money: :money: :money:

Buffon: No More Mistakes Please

Gianluigi Buffon says that Juventus must cut out the errors if they want to challenge for the Scudetto next season.

The Bianconeri’s slim chances of winning this season’s championship were all but ended last night when they lost 3-2 at Palermo.

In truth the scoreline was a little harsh on Juve, and coach Claudio Ranieri said after the game that Palermo had scored on all of their only three shots of the night.

"These were three goals that were unstoppable,” Buffon told Tuttosport.

“Sometimes, however, a goalkeeper must do something, a movement to make shots that seem unstoppable, actually preventable.”
There have been a number of occasions this season when Juve have been slow out of the traps, and this happened again last night when they fell 2-0 behind.

Buffon says that this is something that needs to be corrected if they want to challenge for the title next season.

“Juve deserved at least a draw. Unfortunately, once again, we did not react until our opponents scored, in this case two goals,” said the 30-year-old.

“They are mistakes that, this year, as we are only going for third or fourth, may not be decisive.

“But next season, when our objective will be higher, we cannot afford this irresponsibility.”

Galliani explains Intertoto entry

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has discussed the prospect of playing in the Intertoto Cup, as the Diavolo struggle to secure European football.

These are strange times for the world champions, who find themselves four points short of fourth-placed Fiorentina and a Champions League qualification.

While the Rossoneri are currently in joint fifth place, Udinese are just one point behind and there is a possibility that Carlo Ancelotti’s men could finish seventh, possibly missing out on the UEFA Cup.

“We even signed up for the Intertoto Cup when we were top of the League and were 40 points ahead of seventh,” Galliani explained to the Corriere dello Sport.

“Don’t forget that Ancelotti won the Intertoto Cup with Juventus. And if he did it with Juve, I don’t see why he shouldn’t with Milan.”

Should Milan be forced to compete in the competition, they will face a number of selection problems.

The Final is set for June 29 and several key players could be ruled out, as they require a rest before travelling to the Olympics in Beijing on August 6.

Intertoto commitments would also interfere with entering potentially lucrative summer events, such as the Moscow pre-season tournament, which sould net the club nearly £1m.

How big a gap is there between the end of the Euros and the start of the Intertoto?

Can't be long.
The first rounds start during the EURO, i believe. (late June)

But only teams from the minor football countries play in these rounds. The bigger teams start around July 20th. Intertoto ends in late July, early August.

Berlusconi: I Want Sheva Back

Milan President Silvio Berlusconi has confirmed that he is doing everything possible to bring Andriy Shevchenko back to the club.

The former European Footballer of the Year had seven glorious seasons for Milan before he joined Chelsea in a £30m deal in 2006.

However he has badly struggled to adapt in England, both on-and-off the pitch, and it seems highly likely that Chelsea will allow him to leave this summer.

Milan have been heavily linked in recent months with a transfer, and Berlusconi has now confirmed this.

“I am trying to bring Shevchenko back and there’s a good chance that it will happen,” the former Italian prime minister said on La7.

Berlusconi, who also signalled his intention to sign Ronaldinho yesterday, then looked ahead to this weekend’s big game in Turin against Juventus.

“I hope that it is a good game and entertaining to watch,” he declared.

“I hope that Milan do what they have always tried to do during my reign – dominate the game and win deservedly.”

The Rossoneri are currently in fifth place in the table, four points behind Fiorentina who occupy the final Champions League position.
