Balotelli To Walk Out On Inter?

Mario Balotelli’s agent has warned Inter that they risk losing him unless he is given more first team football.

The 17-year-old is widely regarded as one of Serie A’s most promising young talents, and he exploded onto the scene with a wonderful display against Juventus in the Coppa Italia.

However with the multitude of strikers at San Siro, Balotelli has since found first team opportunities hard to come by, and his agent is warning that he may consider a move if things don’t improve.

“There have been some important offers from abroad,” his brother and agent Corrado said in Tuttosport.

“Mario will certainly spend time abroad at some stage – it’s just a matter of when.

“At the moment he is playing in the youth team, but he wouldn’t accept that next term.

“The international scouts that are watching Mario say that he is the equal of the strikers at Inter right now. If only he were at Milan.”

Balotelli is reportedly wanted by Premiership-giants Chelsea, with two scouts from the club travelling to Italy to watch him a couple of weeks ago.

The youngster’s life story is a very interesting one. He was born in Palermo to Ghanaian immigrants, but at the age of just three a court ruling entrusted him to the Balotelli family who lived in Brescia.

Balotelli has a prolific scoring record for the Inter Primavera team and he has rejected a call-up to the Ghana national team, in order to hold out for the Azzurri in the future.

“Inter remain the best side in Europe despite their Champions League defeat.”
Guidolin also considers England hot favourites for Euro 2008 glory.

"It's no longer a mountain to climb - it's more like Mount Everest."

Roma To Buy Borriello?

AC Milan will buy back the other half of Marco Borriello's Genoa contract, and then immediately sell the player to Roma this summer, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

Borriello has been the surprise of the season in Serie A, as he is the current Capocannoniere with 17 goals to his name.

The 25-year-old moved to Genoa in the summer on a co-ownership deal from Milan. He is expected to return to the Rossoneri in June but, according to the Corriere this will not be a permanent arrangement.

Given Milan’s excellent relationship with Roma, Borriello will immediately move to the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma have made the signing of a top-class penalty-box striker their priority in this summer’s transfer market.

Borriello is said to particularly attract Coach Luciano Spalletti because his all-round technical game fits in well with the Giallorossi’s famed pass-and-move style.

With the money that Milan receive from their sale of Borriello, they will then use to buy a top-class centre forward of their own.

A number of top stars have been lined, including Chelsea’s Didier Drogba and Arsenal’s Emmanuel Adebayor.

However the most recent reports emanating from the Italian press suggest that either Stuttgart’s Mario Gomez or Tottenham Hotspur’s Dimitar Berbatov will make the move to San Siro.

Game Over For Gilardino & Dida?

Alberto Gilardino and Nelson Dida are certainly on their way out of Milan at the end of the season, according to Leggo.

Gilardino's future at San Siro has been in huge doubt for quite some time now following a third disappointing season for the Rossoneri since his big-money move from Parma in 2005.

Milan have made the signing of a top-class centre forward their summer priority, and Gilardino will be the man that makes way for this player.

The 25-year-old’s destination is likely to be Fiorentina, where he will link-up again with his old Parma boss Cesare Prandelli. However Sampdoria are also said to be interested.

Another player to depart the Stadio Meazza will be goalkeeper Nelson Dida. The Brazilian has had a season ridden with errors, and has lost his first-team place to Zeljko Kalac.

Dida is highly likely to return to his homeland of Brazil, with Flamengo, and old club Corinthians the favourites to snap him up.

The 34-year-old won the FIFA Club World Championships with Corinthians back in 2000.

I think we are going to end up with Gilardino if we fail to buy Huntelaar.

Guys, just tell me, why are you also into the Huntelaar hype?
Younger talents have had less time to prove a track record of disappointment and failure, so people fawn over the newbies because it allows them to dream of the potential beyond current abilities and to more easily deny the truth of their future failures to come.
