And again, Milan can't win at San Siro. It's crazy how a team that won CL only half a year ago is winless 9 matches in a row in Italy (serie A and Coppa) when they play at their own stadium.

Milan-Fiorentina 1:1
Milan-Parma 1:1
Milan-Catania 1:1
Milan-Empoli 0:1
Milan-Roma 0:1
Milan-Torino 0:0
Milan-Juventus 0:0
Milan-Catania 1:2 (Coppa Italia)
Milan-Inter 1:2

0 wins-5 draws-4 defeats, goal difference 5:9
With last two home matches from last season when they played 0:0 with Fiorentina and lost 2:3 from Udinese, Milan are without a win on 11 matches at home soil. Their last win at San Siro was in April 2007, 8 months ago (not counting European matches)
This must be a record !

You really outta get your priorities straight. It's either Juventus or Milan, choose! :D

Adriano And Ronaldo Caught Partying In Brazil

The two troubled Brazilian strikers supposedly back in their homeland to rehabilitate were caught on camera out partying and drinking this weekend...

Adriano and Ronaldo (pictured) have been sent to Brazil by Inter and Milan respectively, with the former looking to find his form on loan at Sao Paulo and the latter recovering from a series of injuries sustained since joining the World Club Cup winners.

Adriano just recently sealed his loan deal with the Brazilian giants after spending the past month training with the squad and also receiving counselling for his numerous psychological and personal problems, largely revolving around the untimely death of his father less than two years ago.

He had recently come out in the press with some signs of encouragement, insisting he is now happier, and looking to put behind him all his problems that wasted "a year of [his] life."

However, after being photographed alongside countryman Ronaldo with alcohol in hand, many Inter and Brazil fans alike will be disheartened.

Though to many it may seem like a harmless drink on a deserved night out, knowing Adriano's recent history of continuous relapses, many may now dismiss the formerly feared striker once and for all.

Adri was spotted with Ronaldo in the VIP section at a Jota Quest concert, a well-known act in Brazil.

Earlier that weekend he had allegedly been spotted with the psychotic former Brazil forward Edmundo, who was most infamous for his erratic behaviour and squandering his ability, not dissimilar to Adriano himself.

The club themselves were fairly calm regarding the whole issue, perhaps revealing the innocent nature of the night out, or perhaps in an attempt to protect the player and the club's reputation.

Director Carlos Augusto de Barros spoke to Agencia Estado, and said that in view of the Christmas break, there was nothing wrong with Adriano's actions.

"We are not going to monitor the player,'' he said. "If there's no exaggeration, it's OK. It needs to be under control.''

And indeed, a few beers doesn't seem out of control, but again, the history of the player should be taken into consideration and the inherent risk he could pose a threat to himself as well as the club.

Inter released Adriano in time to play for Sao Paulo in the Copa Libertadores - Latin America's biggest club competition - which starts next year.

Football Italia rounds up the winners and the losers from Week 17 of the Serie A season

The winners…

Esteban Cambiasso (Inter)
It’s difficult to believe Real Madrid released him on a free in 2004, as since then Cambiasso has been one of the hardest workers and most consistent performers in the ever-changing Inter squad. Still only 27, the Argentine secured the derby bragging rights and the title of Winter Champions.

Luca Vigiani (Reggina)
Reggina registered only their second win of the campaign and it was all thanks to an unlikely hero, as Vigiani bagged an historic hat-trick against Catania. In one match he scored as many goals as throughout all of last season and on four has already set a new personal best. With the Amaranto forwards continuing to misfire, they needed the midfielder to spring a surprise.

Francesco Totti (Roma)
Er Pupone does not do things by halves. Having missed five Serie A penalties last season and barely played in two months, he could be forgiven for taking the easy route, but Totti was determined to place a trademark chip over the goalkeeper and prove he was back with a bang. Completing his brace late on was just the icing on the Christmas cake.

The losers…

Nelson Dida (Milan)
Inter’s very own Santa Claus gave Cambiasso the winning goal with a bow on top, as he somehow managed to completely misjudge the flight of the ball and threw himself in the opposite direction. At first it seemed a deflection had left him stranded, but upon closer inspection it was just another in the catalogue of Dida howlers that Milan supporters are now all too familiar with. Reggina’s Nenad Novakovic avoids this loser title as letting the ball squirm through his legs didn’t stop his side winning 3-1.

Maurizio Domizzi (Napoli)
It really wasn’t his day. First the referee bizarrely awards a penalty for handball when it is evident his outstretched foot made contact, then he gets the chance to make amends and fires his spot-kick straight at Matteo Sereni. Domizzi must’ve been very glad to hear the final whistle at the San Paolo.

Amauri (Palermo)
Yes he got on the scoresheet and technically the whole team was at fault for throwing away a 2-0 lead against Lazio, but the Brazilian is singled out for one of the worst penalty kicks seen in Serie A history. It was high, it was wide, it allowed the Biancocelesti to equalise four minutes later.

The goals…

Andrea Pirlo (Milan)
The former Inter benchwarmer showed just what his old side are missing with a classic free kick curled into the top corner. Julio Cesar could only watch and admire.

David Trezeguet (Juventus)
Sheer class and technique from the striker more commonly associated with tap-ins. He flicked the ball on with his heel before smashing the right-foot shot from 20 metres.

Luca Vigiani (Reggina)
The first of his hat-trick was a well-worked training ground move. Nicola Amoruso teed up the free kick for Vigiani’s thumping volley from the edge of the box.

The numbers…

Derby old boy
Paolo Maldini played his 55th Milan derby, having begun that journey with a 2-2 draw on December 1, 1985. This was the 266th Derby della Madonnina and the Rossoneri still lead overall on 104 wins, 72 draws and 90 defeats despite losing the last three meetings on the trot. Last season Milan had also taken the lead only to lose 2-1.

The Specialist

Matteo Sereni has saved three spot-kicks this season, denying Siena striker Massimo Maccarone twice in the same game. Napoli have now missed two penalties, as Emanuele Calaiò saw his effort parried against Reggina.

Grifone release
Genoa were without a victory since seeing off Cagliari 2-0 on October 7, followed by five defeats and four draws. Curiously, all but one of Marco Borriello’s eight goals this term have been scored at Marassi.

Zalayeta Given Two-Game Dive Ban

Napoli forward Marcelo Zalayeta has picked up a two-match ban after being found guilty of diving against Torino...

Former Juventus forward Marcelo Zalayeta (pictured) is set to miss his side's meetings with AC Milan and Lazio after picking up a two game ban for diving.

The 29-year-old was found guilty of "flying without any significant bodily contact" during his side's 1-1 draw with Torino.

His alleged antics won him a penalty; Maurizio Domizzi duly skied it over the bar, but nonetheless the Lega have come down hard on the ex-Sevilla ace.

Zalayeta, a Uruguayan international, was previously deemed to have dived against former club Juve earlier in the season, only for that particular sanction to be cancelled on appeal.

The former Empoli man has scored seven goals so far this term in the top flight.

TBH, the brazilian media has to be one of the worst...what is wrong with partying and drinking alcohol from time to time? I've seen both Mutu and Chivu drinking alcohol and partying on several occasions.

Buffon smokes and drinks, I don't see anything wrong with partying and drinking, shouldn't they enjoy their life?

Yeah , I agree with that , but if it's affecting their performance on the pitch, then that is a problem

I doubt It has anything to do with their performance. Adriano has been treated bad since his day one and has nothing to do with him partying.

Ronaldo on the other hand is injured....I'd actually see them more retardeds not to party but stay home.

They have vacation, they're rich, why not have fun?

Inter have confirmed their central defender Walter Samuel damaged cruciate ligaments in his left knee during Sunday's 2-1 win over city rivals Milan. The Argentinean international was carried off on a stretcher after 37 minutes of the derby and was replaced by Marco Materazzi. According to Italian media, the injury will require surgery and Samuel, 29, risks missing the rest of the season. Inter already have a long injury list that includes Patrick Vieira, Olivier Dacourt, Francesco Toldo, Luis Figo and Dejan Stankovic.
