    prepare to serie b,fossils!
As much as I enjoy to see Milan's failures, I really don't want to see them in B. Milan in B is perhaps the same as Juventus in B, Serie A will loose lots of appeal....

Which can't be really said for Inter ;)

Piccolo is co-owned by Juventus.Mirante is on loan in Sampdoria.

I tell you that seemed like the longest lasting football game I have ever watched. Great job Empoli. Marchisio had a good game. Giovinco came on late and was only allowed to show his quick feet and trickery one time. Other than that it was just chasing long balls and disturbing Milan's build up play. Piccolo and whole defensive line of Empoli were amazing, especially Balli who was MOM.

Italian referees’ chief Pierluigi Collina changed the officials assigned to the match after the name of the original referee was posted on Livorno’s website before it had been announced.

The FIGC said that they had charged Carlo Truccolo and Carlo Vivaldi with “violation of the obligation to loyalty, correctness and probity”.

They also charged the club, bottom of Serie A with two points from seven games, with involvement in the affair.

To say nothing of Serie B, Milan losing out on the Champions' League would be a near disaster for Italian football. At the moment the Rossoneri remain the only credible force that is keeping Italy up there with the seemingly indomitable Spain and the emergent English sides. Inter has produced woeful results for the most part in the past decade in Europe, Juve needs a couple seasons under its belt before we can be seen as even remotely approaching Milan's status. As for the likes of Roma, Fiorentina etc. I believe nothing needs to be said. We can only hope that Ancelotti and Co will surprise us again this season, as we've seen since the turn of the millenium Milan's performances in the league are often inversely related to their European showings, and this season in particular they have been a disappointment thus far.

    One can hope.
