I know this is random, but have you noticed that the EPL lacks top notch english strikers. I was watching the top scorers form each league (EPL, Serie A & La Liga) and both the Italian & Spanish league have 2 striker of their nationality in the top 3. While the English league has Wayne Rooney as the top english player and is currently in 11th place in the scoring charts.

Rosina was unstoppable against Inter yesterday, I expect him to leave Torino after the end of the current campaign, even if Torino succeed to remain another season in Serie A, Rosina will be wearing another jersey next season.

He's an absolute class. I've always wanted him at Juventus, yes Torino may let go of him to the other side of the industrial city, but in a coffin.

Roma Deny Receiving Takeover Offer

Italpetroli, the parent company of Roma, have issued a statement in which they have denied receiving an offer to take over the club.

Reports have been strengthening in the Italian media for quite sometime now that Roma are set to be taken over due to the fact that Italpetroli possess debts in the region of €370m.

Last week it was reported in the press that Roma had rejected an offer from American billionaire George Soros, in order to listen to a bid from an Arab corporation. Italpetroli have today moved to categorically deny all such talk.

“Not one offer has been formalised on the behalf of a foreign subject,” reads an official statement.

“Therefore, all the reports that have appeared in the Press in the last few days regarding the rejection of an offer are without foundation.

“Italpetroli would like to take this opportunity to confirm, contrary to how much has been reported, that we have not received an offer from the Royal Family of the Arab Emirates.

“Nor has there been any contact with their delegates with respect to the sale of our controlling stake.”

I don't think he'll leave. He might be their main figure for a while. Although, I have to say I do wish he came here. :D

Edit: Actually, he is being blamed for the firing of Novellino, so he could leave?

1Inter Milan 78pts
2Roma 72pts
3Juventus 67pts
4Fiorentina 59pts
5AC Milan 55pts
6Sampdoria 55pts
7Udinese 51pts

All teams have played 34 games.Does anyone smell a Milan stunner over Fiorentina?Or one by Sampdoria?

Also, what happens if three teams are equal on points for 4th the position at the end?I remember reading somewhere that if it comes down to the scudetto, its decided by a playoff, but what about the 4th spot? For starters, you cant have a two legged play off here as three teams are involved.

u just make minitable of those two, three, four or fifteen teams, and calculate out which teams have the best record in mutual games, including goals scored, goals let in and even yellow and red cards if neccesary.

Legtrottaglie got a red card today.

It was the TV producers that had you fooled, JCK. They showed a sign that said red card Legro but infact it was only his first yellow, and it was a ridiculous yellow aswell.
That's right! I thought he was going off, but it was only a yellow according to the official site. That means he's not suspended! Yay! :weee:

Unfortunately there is a rumour around that Inter are in pole position to land him at the end of the season.. Seems reasonable seeing that Torino & Inter have a good relationship (e.g. Recoba) and Cairo and Morratti get along well

They look at the teams' head to head encouters , if all teams are equal in that respect , they would then look at goal difference .

What about goal differential?
Thats what i was thinking too.
I think there is no taking goal difference or head to head encounters in Serie A. Teams who have the same points - On the top, qualifying to Europe or relegation - play a mini tournament. For example, three teams, from the 16th to 18th, have the same amount of points and one of them has to be relegated, they play each others, and the one with the least points relegate.

I hate to see that!
