Funniest bit is that Roma got like 50 mil for these two youngsters, and now their defense sucks worse than last year, and their midfield has no depth, and they just lost to a Serie B mid table side.

people were praising Sabatini though for keeping all their key players, gaining 50M on players they never used and "didnt need", and reinvested that money in the areas the team was weak in. that turned out great for them indeed

This forum overrates Dzeko to an incredible degree. People talked about Mandzukic being poor last year cause he scored 20 goals in all competitions. And Llorente being abysmal because he scored 9 goals. Dzeko scored 7 goals in 31 matches last year. He was terrible. And he's been terrible for Roma. Terrible purchase to lead an attacking trident with pacy wingers like Gervinho and Salah. Rudi Garcia has him playing as a false 9 half the time which is ridiculous for a big, fairly immobile striker.

i dont know what they wanted with Dzeko but if clearly isnt working. he is good with the ball for a guy his height, he can shoot from outside and create his own shot when receiving passes in difficult areas, but their playing style with quick guys like Salah, Gervinho might not suit him. i mean, hes not a nobody, its the same guy that scored crucial goals in both City EPL victories. but i think they didnt even think about how hed fit into the team, he was simply the biggest big name affordable for them at the moment who was willing to go there, so they chose him. but a different type of striker would definitely suit them better

When has he played very good for Azzurri? Haven't seen all games, but his Azzurri career in general he prolly has had two good games. Majority are very conservative and mediocre.
