You probably tried this but i have to ask, have you uinstalled and installed it again? And you shouldn't need to copy any URL... Try this:

http://www.livefootballol.com/channel/sky-sports-1-acestream.html

Try to click on the link "acestream://etc..." Acestream should then automatically open.

Yep, two times over the past few months actually, and before I wrote my post once more :D

With the links, it doesn't matter whether I click on them or paste the link, when I click the program opens, but doesn't do anything either...

Not that it's that big a problem though tbh, sopcasts work fine for the most parts, and flash streams appear to be getting better by the month.
