Ranieri: I don't understand why we're playing in Turin against Juve and not in Rome.
In the previous two years in Coppa, the team that ended higher on the standings in the previous season was always the host in the 1/8 and 1/4 finals.
For example, if Juve finished 3rd and Milan 4th and if in the quarters of the Coppa Juve played Milan, then Juve were gonna be hosting the match.
It was the same in this year's 1/8 finals.
But in the middle of the season this year the rules were changed. Now instead Roma (finished 2nd last year) to be the host against Juve (7th last year), we will be hosting the 1/4 final match.

Makes sense then why he's questioning this. Inter and Milan will play away then in the 1/4's. I like this.

Btw, few years ago wasn't Coppa's 1/4 two-legged?

Yeah, it was. But I think last season it was when the FIGC decided all the matches before the semi final are gonna be a two legged ones to decrease the number of matches Italian teams play thus the fatigue in a desperate attempt to make them shine on the European stage.

BARI: Padelli; Raggi, Rossi, Glik, Parisi; Alvarez, Pulzetti, Donati, Romero; Kutuzov, Castillo.
MILAN: Roma; Oddo, Nesta, Yepes, Antonini; Gattuso, Ambrosini, Merkel; Robinho; Ibrahimovic, Cassano

Robinho; Ibrahimovic, Cassano looks terrifying on paper, the rest of the team though
