Two match ban for Cassano
Tuesday 14 September, 2004

Antonio Cassano’s dismissal against Fiorentina on Sunday has resulted in a two-match ban for the Roman.

The Italian international will now miss the clash at Messina this weekend and also the home game against Lecce on Wednesday 22 September.

Six other top-flight players have been handed one-match suspensions today after their misdemeanours in Week 1.

They are: Antonioli (Sampdoria), Dida (Milan) , Balleri (Livorno), Cirillo (Siena), Franceschini (Reggina) and Viali (Fiorentina).

Abbiati isn't that bad, and Milan are playing a Bologna team that lost to newly promoted Cagliari this weekend so I don't think they'll miss Dida a great deal.

    Serious injury for Cesar
    Saturday 18 September, 2004

Lazio's Brazilian winger Cesar has torn a calf muscle during training and could be out for at least six weeks.

The player pulled up during training this morning as he attempted a back heel flick.

Early reports from the Biancocelesti medical staff suggest he has suffered “a lesion of the left femoral bicep muscle.” If that diagnosis is confirmed by tests on Monday, Cesar will be out of action for around six weeks.

It’s a bitter blow for the club, who refused offers from Inter and Juventus to keep him at the Stadio Olimpico. He was on fine form and had scored in the 3-0 UEFA Cup victory at Metalurg Donetsk midweek.

Lazio boss Mimmo Caso should use former Parma man Antony Seric in his place for tomorrow’s home debut against Reggina

Fvck, ref has denied two goals form Palermo already, and only 20 minutes have been played... :irritate: Who should blame the refs now... :D
