That is the greatest insult of all when your fellow country men don't even regonize your existience. Northern men have fought and died for their right to their Irishness while Britain tried to destroy that identity. I mean could you look into the face of a man who's been on hungerstrike for 66 days and say "Im more Irish than you!"

It must be a form of Dublin snobbery as you also look down on the Cork which suffered the most at the hand of the British and those brave men like Liam Lynch and Tom Barry did most of the fighting during the war.

I agree, our country has seen enough bloodshed and its time to unite the Orange and Green and that has been long overdue.

But I didn't mean with the armed struggle and meant for the South to of been more vocal of Britan as their silence was deafening during the troubles and hungerstrikes.

.
Dublin, if you have forgotten is the capital of Éire, where Dáil Eireann first sat, where this conutry was born, it IS 1916 and everthing that accompanies that fact. People from Cork think that they are the real capital, the true Irish, just because the high kings sat at Tara and Mick Collins was from Cork. They think their shit little county is the business, the best in Ireland, the best at everything. They're the biggest load of snobs in the country they're Benitez to our Ferguson, inferior and painfully aware of it.
You may consider yourself Irish, and indeed were I taoiseach I'd pursue a unification policy were it not for the horrible tax burden of NI civil service, and if you hold our passport you are indeed Irish. However, the 32 country republic is not reality, the problem is the sectarianism, if we established a 32 country Union of irish peoples, free from religious interference in government Maybe it'd pass on referendum but people from NI without the old purple passport aren't Irish.

A man that's been on hunger-strike or a murderer? Even today those that would kill PSNI officers are scum. the PSNI after devolution shouldn't be a target, a lot of them are from the 26 counties and their Irish 'brothers' are killing them? give me a break.

Don't get me wrong I am disgusted at the lame response from Ireland at what was a Nazi-like state of affairs. I will never forgive the British government for their evil and bitter campaign of murder and political disenfranchisement towards all the people on this Island, i'll be dancing a fucking jig when that whore Thacther dies. It makes me sick to my stomach that innocent people get killed and those with the power to help don't help, but I will never advocate the reignition of hostilities because we've come too far yet in some ways not far enough. But what would I know, I just a snob from Dublin that enjoys pissing on the graves of Irish patriots

Where did I say I condone attacks on the PSNI?

I support the police and would certainly report a crime if I seen one in progress, I wouldn't of went to the RUC on the hand.

I also like most other decent people in the North have no time for Republican splinter groups as they need to get real and move on as the armed conflict is over.

Most of those groups are penetrated to the very core by the British and some are even involved in the drug trade.

I have 'NEVER' (in my best Paisley impression) posted that I want reignition of hostilities, when I says we will continue to fight to reuinite this country I was meaning the ballot box not the armalite.

I don't know you from atom mate so the snob thing was harsh and I apologize for that :pint: Im just a working class boy from Belfast and read a post calling all Northeners assholes and fake Irishmen and thought it was my duty to respond.

Sorry again for derailing Reb cos this thread should be about the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Tbh when a republican from belfast says we'll fight, it's no great surprise where my mind went :D

As a Dublin lad myself, I have had a fair bit of exposure to people from the North and my experience has been in the vast majority of cases negative. I don't think I called the Northern Irish fake Irishmen, assholes yes but fake,no?

Besides you're eligible for an irish passport, if you have one, you're irish ;)

I personally believe all the the Abrahamic fundamentalists are trying to get some sort of end of the world scenario going so they can each meet their "Messiah".
