I did understand it, I just tweaked it to suit the reality. Which is Hamas doesnt hold Palestinian civilians hostage, Israel does, they cage them in like animals, and have little to no regard for them, kill them to controll population growth, as some of their politicians have said.
Know what Martin meant, but its not one based so much in reality if you analyze it fully (which you shouldnt because its just a shallow analogy), because Israel isnt the law officer interested in the safety of the "hostage", has complete disregard for it. You could say the hostage in this scenario has an intense case of stockholm syndrom, because who they are with in this scenario is clear

Well, recently there was a situation in Europe where a country was bought. Kosovo had natural resources alright but billions of dollars from the diaspora put in the right pockets made everything go more smoothly and at the end they literally bought the independence.
Unless i'm wrong Palestine isn't rich with natural resources so i was wondering if the Palestinian cause can be fought with money.
Of course, you have a much superior opponent than Kosovo had and you lack the natural resources. Plus, you have the problem with the Jews in the US politics. It's hard to expect that you can buy your country back, but i was wondering if the Palestinian diaspora is rich enough to provide finances the way the Kosovars out of Kosovo did for their country.

The Palestinian refugees mostly are poor people. We have some rich Palestinians in the Middle East, like the owner of the Arab Bank Group (You perhaps saw one of its branches) and similar companies, but it is not worth talking about as a weapon in the hands of Palestinians as it doesn't form much relatively to what the Israelis have.
We too have another important problem right now regarding this point which is the leadership corruptness. Many donations paid all over the world are going directly to the corrupt government in Ramallah led by Abbas. they steal donations and take them to their banks accounts in Switzerland and normal people who are being hit by bombs do not receive anything of these donations, but they get some tiny compensations from Hamas. It is a very hard situation for Palestinians right now, Alen, so they are not hoping of a better environment at least in the near future.
