How can anyone legitimately compare the US and Germany to Israel and Palestine?
I don't think the guy compared the situations 1:1. But still there's plenty of things to touch on that is relevant to this conflict.

Would you not agree the Gazans have been heavily indotrinated? Hamas has run Gaza like a police state. They have funnelled billions of aid into their terror and weapon infrastructure. In school they teach the kids the quickest way to paradise is through Jihad and killing Jews.

We have UNRWA to "thank" for this. In stead of putting all that aid to good use and try to build a better society and future they chose Jihad.

Hence the comparison with Nazi Germany and Japan isn't that far off. Those two countries were heavily indoctrinated and hellbend on destruction/conquest. The Gazans need to be deradicalized before an eventual peace can happen in the future. Hamas has ruled them with an iron fist. The Israelis left Gaza in 2005, but in stead of building a better future they turned the place into a dictatorship. One election and Hamas ruled turned the enclave into a dictatorship through Jihad and oppression.

And before you say "but Israel", yes they also have their fair share of fanatics and nutjobs. One can hope the Israelies will elect a new and much more peace seeking government once this war is over.

But the Gazans need to look themselves in the mirror and what they have taught their kids and why the near future looks bleak. The international community also failed here.

Palestinians should have their own state, no one disputes that. But they also have to look at themselves and take accountability for the current situation. They allowed themselves to be run by a fanatic death cult in Hamas.

I didn't bother reading any of the article and just scrolled to the bottom and found this.

Cole S. Aronson is a writer living in Jerusalem, Israel.

Yeah cool story bro.
I can't blame you entirely, I tend to do the same when the "other side" raises an argument.

But "knowing" you in this thread, quite sure you would've taken it at face value if it was the other way round though.

Hamas does not speak for all Palestinians, but when you're abandoned, even the devil can seem like a hero. These people have nothing to live for, countless family and friends dead, a disproportionate number of dead women and children, then you're showing some kids who know nothing but death.

You didn't analyse the article properly, deep dive into what is being said. It's justification for killing kids and literally saying that a child made an orphan from Gaza is a future threat. Israel will never bring peace to the Middle East, they love the chaos and seem to be the only country to gain from it.

The rebel movement in Syria is going to be a problem for Israel now, let's see how they and the US spin this one. There is something different there and it might be a stretch to contain them.
