Not quite. First of all there's a lot more to the UN than the Security Council and even then the big five still need four other members for a resolution, don't they?
Correct me if I'm wrong here Andries, the US asked for support to attack Iraq but the security council voted against it.. three days later they attacked Iraq anyways... So a resolution doesn't really matter does it? Also the power of veto where by one nation can overrule the majority is another big load of bullshit... Again, correct me if I'm wrong, coz these things aren't my strong points...

The resolution matters, because it means that the war isn't justified. The sad truth is that it's impossible to bring the USA to justice, because there are no mechanisms that could actually sanction the US.

So you're right, a resolution doesn't necessarily change the factual present. The right to veto makes things difficult, but without it the big countries would never have joined the UN and it wouldn't have existed in the first place.

I'm listening to the UN meeting right now.

There is some sort of standoff developing right now between the Israeli member and the President of the assembly.

Israel questions the validity of the meeting! :lol2:

Of course the two of you are right, but it is part of why I'm posting in this very thread. You see, even if what Israel is doing today is wrong, it is not quite right to allow or cultivate hate towards Jews, no matter how small the amount of hate might be. It is why I'm wary of the word "conspiracy", Andy. It looks as if it's something that could be used to justify jew hate, do you get what I mean?
:melayyanandmessi: that is you

So you can not say that what israel doing now (as well as before) is wrong.
You can not say that people have right to defend themselves.

What kind of person are you anyway?

I know :melayyanandmessi:

Another insult, but again, no argument.

Not only have I stated at least 10 times now that what Israel is doing is wrong, I have also stated it in that very post.

insult? no not all, more of a description of your decrepit hold on this matter, it's one thing if you came on here to learn a thing or two but going on and on pages of arguing when you know jack crap about any of this stuff is malignant; you re a nuisance to this thread: spam. And i will not encourage it by answering your, as i previously mentioned, infantile contentions. Ask questions for the sake of inquiring and you will get an answer; ask questions to pollute and throw in your worthless 2 cents and you will get ignored.

What contention exactly was infantile?

historical context is the only thing that matters this might shade some light on this "conspiracy" you so despise:

That paper is not about a Jewish conspiracy, but about an Israel lobby. Do you fail to see the difference in the two words? A lobby is a lobby and governments will always be influenced by lobbies. That's not the same as a global conspiracy.

one of these days you have to teach me how you read all that in a couple of minutes. As for "conspiracy" notice i referred to it in " " as you re the only here believing it is a conspiracy, I know it as fact. Your disregard for knowledge seeking is only matched by your sophistry, not responding to you anymore.

I read all that because:

a) I never denied there was an Israel lobby in the US.
b) People have been going on and on about a global Jewish conspiracy
c) You post an article that supposedly was going to tell me I didn't know yet.

Again an insult.
