Very unsimilar the whole point of calling some an italian is down to there nationality, not getting all judgemental and assuming that they are catholic. Yes majority may be but thats unfair on those who aint. An example is baggio, he is a buddhist to call him an italian and imply that he is a catholic, I dont think he will be happy with it whatsoever. Jews are people, yes I knew that, I really didnt see them as any other but to refer to them as a nationality is really harsh on all the others and comes to show moreover an arrogance than anything. For all those foreigners (not much) who may live in israel and occupy different religions i.e Christinanity, i am sure they may be offended. Religion is a big thing to many people to refer to them as a different religion is disliked. I never knew armenian was actually a religion. The greek example was prehistoric and was natural to say especially as they were the only people who lived there in there own country who had such believes. Infact it was mostly prevalent in other islands too such as cyprus or crete.

Israel is a democratic country and so it gives rights to other peoples living inside its country like Belgium gives rights to Jews, but Judasim is not only a religion but it's a People. That's the thing... Jews living in Belgium it's nice if the government gives them equal rights, but it's not their motherland. I suppose there are some belgian immigrants inside israel too (exchange students and such ).

Listen man im an arab and im pro palestine, i'll always consider israel as an enemy untill we sign a peace treaty with them, which wll most likely never happen atleast not in my life span however me as a lebanese have priorities after all that weve through 25 years of civil war syrian control (which ended last year) israel attacks (1993 1996 and so on) we deserve peace, we're sick of beeing in the middle of wars that most of the lebanese are against, wars driven by foreign powers, weve had enough. I want to build my country back, grow its economy, see my kids(if i manage to survive untill i spouse and reproduce) grow without beeing killed, threatned daily, murdered brutally etc..

Jews are a people. If you agree there, then we have no disagreement. The nationality is named "israeli" but that's the nationality for the Jewish people like "italian" is for italians. It's just a name.

Israel could have been called Judea or Jewish State, there were actually suggestions to call it that. Israel is another name for "Judea". If you need the historical explanation, I can give it to you (there were two kingdoms, Israel compunds the 12 tribes in general, in short... essentially for today it's the same).
