Why did Israel hav to go beserk? Let me ask you that? Because they value the two captured soldiers? Yet they willingly sent more troops to recover them and ultimately losing 7 more lives?
This looks like mere ego and reason to retaliate out of proportion than actually valuing the troop's lives.

It's a code of the army to NEVER let anyone stay behind. You won't get it since you live a sheltered life.
Just imagine being captures and tortured, its hell for them, and from the government's point of view the soldiers might tell stuff.
Besides, it's vital to show your strength to prevent these stuff in the future.

Where do you think the ancestors of the "palestinians" come from ? they come from saudi arabia. Everyone are immigrants at some point or another. Everyone. Every country. Everyone started from the African continent at some point. Anyway, many Israelis are already close to 10 generations. There were always Jews in Israel, for thousands of years.

I had a best army buddy back in the middle 90' when we were sent to action as sniper support to eliberate the citiy of Knin from occupation. As well as many young guns back there. A year ago he got an very interesting offer to go to Iraq to sharpshoot for one side...thanks god,he got back rich and in one piece. Yesterday he phoned me and proposed ME a job in Lebanon. Thanks god....I have a good financial status and no need for more war adventures. Here,many war war veterans have a poor life after war and go for money in what we call "bananna countries"....those who fought in bosnia against muslims and mudjahedins have a good reputation in US Army cuz of their expirience,and are well payed. Others,pharadoxly often end up on the other side......so I heard storys that 2 buddys(/croats from bosnia) met face to face in Iraq.... what a strange and sick world that is.

Everytime it is the same old story over and over again. Lebanon went into 15 years of civil wars just because of a maniac called Yaser "my mouth is too big" Arafat who decided all by himself without consulting anyone to start a war agasint Israel from a land that took him as a refugee.
Now we have a moron in the shape of Hasan Nasralla backed by Syria and Iran. Since 15 years ago Lebanon's touristic wave started to boom back again and this year a record high of hotel bookings was recorded. Now what happened? Well thank you Mr. Nasralla.
Who do I blame? I blame those sissies who call themselves politicians and leaders in my beloved land who don't have the balls to say a word, I haven't reached the point of taking action.
After Hariri was assassinated, the whole country stood by itself to take the Syrians out and everyone hoped for a "new" regime. What happened? Nothing, the same old story but with different faces.

very good post. The Lebanese people are suffering because of maniacs like nasrallah. It's just like Iraq with Saddam and Iran with Ahminijad (low flame at the moment). I really wish the Lebanese will do something and get rid of the these illegal militias, because seriously there's no quarrel between lebanese and Israeli people (nor between Iranian people and Israelis) and there shouldn't be any either.- Status
