Seriously, we've been discussing Deschamps intensely for two days, don't you think we have enough threads on this issue?

Deschamps Given Ultimatum - Report

According to the Turin-based daily sports newspaper 'Tuttosport', the French coach has been given 20 days to rectify things in a dressing room which seems to have lost trust in him.

Following the 2-2 draw at Vicenza, many fans and also apparently some players, have lost confidence in Didier Deschamps’ abilities as a series of poor results away from home have put his position at the helm of the Bianconeri at risk.

Among the players who are against the current coach there are Trezeguet, Camoranesi, Bojinov, Zalayeta, Zebina and Marchisio. In the meantime, Igor Tudor ran away from the club as his contract has been mutually terminated following 8 years with Juventus.

For this reason, according to the reports in 'Tuttosport', Deschamps' position is in doubt and he has been given an ultimatum of 20 days to get things back on the right track.

Marcello Lippi's ghost is looming over the French coach and therefore Deschamps will need a convincing win against Crotone in order to save his bench.

This is actually what I wanted to read right now

I hope Didi manages to rectumfy the situation
i think he will, he is a good coach but is just unlucky to have the defenders we currently have. the team as a whole is not bad but his cb's are just rubbish.

i honestly dont know vlatko i got it off goal.com. on channel 4 they have no mention of this at all. i just checked.

Well let's review: he came to Juventus despite the relegation to Serie B and despite a lack of finances and investment, he managed to steer his brand new team to the top position en route to promotion to Serie A after only one season, which a considerable amount of people doubted would happen back in September. The whole thing breathes loyalty to an outsider such as myself.

I'd say it's a pretty sweet gig.

We have the best players and I think that's the main reason we're top. Our play has been shit all season with very few exceptions.

*Sarcasm starts here*

Yes but we shouldn't loose or draw games along the way.

I think that's a little much to ask. In a division such as Serie B, it's less about football than it is about sinking your teeth into your opponent's calfs. You could field eleven Ronaldinho's and you'd still lose a couple of matches.

I just don't like to see people make the same mistakes over and over, that's all. It warrants to me that there's trouble down the road

I was really expecting you to pick up on the sarcasm. :D

I couldn't agree more with you, people expect way too much from this team.

Listen, I think he is a good coach. And he will do fine for this season. But "good" just don't cut it in the big leagues

Why a sudden change of opinion???!!!

Anyway, I noticed this a long time ago while other have been mocking at me saying that I am completely wrong and fooling themselves.

Deschamps is a douchebag, no good for Juventus. Juventus just cannot be owned by teams like Vicenza, Spezia, etc...

There is no change of opinon, read my follow up on Erik. My opinion is the same; Serie B is a hard leauge and Juventus is not that much above and beyond the rest of the teams, we have some bigger individual quality and that's it. Having in mind our dressing room doesn't have the usual piece of mind it once had I think DD is doing a pretty good job holding it all together and us on the top of the table.

I can't really comment on his tactical decisions, as I can't watch the games very much, but so far I think he's doing OK with what he has. When we fall to 5th, 6th place then I think we should ring the alarm. With this kind of thinking after some underachieving games we are only doing more damage to ourselves.

We can and should expect a promotion but not a smooth, cosy journey on the way.

Yep. But Juve fans always do.
This term I feel it is a lot more than usual.

Douchebag is way too harsh seeing as he was such a great player for us
Great player doesn´t mean a great coach too.

Well, I watch Juve games and I can tell you I am very disappointed, Juventus was never this weak, and they have been better than their opponents very rarely in last 2-3 months.

I don´t want to sack DD cause it is not the time to do so, but he really needs to change something, whether the players or the tactics FFS.

Don´t get me wrong, I blame the players too, they are behaving like Real Madrid players, overpaid spoiled stars.

Vlatko did you see what players such as Del Piero, Nedved and Buffon did at the World Cup? How brilliant and purely world class they were? Add to this that our squad has players like Cristiano Zanetti, Mauro Camoranesi, Robert Kovac, David Trezeguet, Marco Marchionni and Valeri Bojinov - and even Giorgio Chiellini, Frederico Balzaretti and Jean Alain Boumsong can be added to the list of quality players compared to the Serie-B level. Seriously, we should be owning all the time. We should at least be playing well.

But what have we seen so far?
1) 80% of the performances have been below par.
2) Didi doesn't know how to use Marchionni.
3) Didi considers Legrotagglie good enough to come in for a tired Chiellini (insane).
4) Camoranesi is getting fatter.
5) Trezeguet is halfway asleep during games.
6) I could actually go on for quite some time but I have a headache.
