Poor education and corruption are definitely two major factors but I'm not entirely convinced that that's it. The way I see it there are four types of Muslims in today's world; one who identifies as a Muslim but doesn't follow any of the tenants necessarily...he parties, drinks, gambles, etc etc. Then you have the one that somewhat follows the tenants, he prays once in a while...definitely on Eid, pays zakat occasionally, is very secular and respects other peoples faiths and beliefs, probably doesn't even know Sura Fatiha, etc etc. Then you have the full fledged Muslim who follows all the tenants to the tee, believes the punishment for being a Murtad is death, that Shia's are Wajib-ul-Qatal because they insult the Companions, believes all things Western are from the Dajjal, and the Muslim world is the victim of a giant conspiracy and that the way to end all their misery is by violent Jihad so that they can return to the glory days of yesterday. The fourth group is the one that I think most people fall into...the ones that follow all the tenants wholeheartedly and are steadfast in their beliefs but don't subscribe to any of the beliefs of the third group but the problem with this group is that they don't speak out or stand up to these people. The third group I speak of are not just crazy authoritarian dictators...they can be found in mosques in nearly every neighborhood. The sad thing is people of the fourth group more or less tend to agree with their words but may not (thank God) put their words into action.

    Anyway back to topic, after losing the battle of Kobane, today morning IS made many simultaneous attacks on around 10 points for Iraqi army and Pashmerga in Iraq, and they started another attack on Kwaires airport north of Syria. They just want to tell everybody that they are still alive.

    Coalition spokesman just announced that the IS leader in charge of Chemical weapons was killed by one of their attacks one week ago...

    IS kills the second Japanese hostage, and the destiny of the Jordanian hostage is still unclear..

    That completely sucks for the families. Even if the first Japanese hostage sounded like an opportunist douchebag. But kudos to Japan for not giving in and funding a gang of mental patients with automatic weapons.

    I expected they would kill him but never thought of this way.
    They justify this that he was one of the pilots that burnt many civilians in this war

    Now, Jordanian TV says that he was killed before one month.
