About spelling errors: I recently read an article in The Times (I occasionally buy that to keep my English skills somewhat up to date) that the human brain can easily overlook spelling mistakes.

Apparently, our brain looks at a word in total, if the letters are switched around it doesn't matter, our brain will still recognise it AS LONG AS the first and the last letter don't switch places AND all letters are still there.

Typing

"The boat fastened steadily towards the harbour exit"

as

"The baot fastneed steadliy twoards the hrabour eixt"

then doesn't make a difference, our brains can still recognise what it says! Fascinating article.
that is true.

It's no joke. My own dad worked in England in his youth. Pat, they called him. Being Irish in England back then was like being black in the US. Thank God the younger generation are a tad less ignorant.

I assume you don't knwo too many Scots. Or republicans. ;)
I know loads of republicans, but no scots.

Southern Ireland is way more different than england and NI i think. Mostly the people.

For example southern irish are very upfront. They say whats on their mind alot more :)

Lilli you will hate her because she is hateful :D

Yes most english people are still very ignorant to this. Liverpool is different though i think, being in the northwest its normal to see loads of Irish and Northern Irish here so its second nature :)

I knwo what you mean. BTW, if I say anything offensive on the subject, just say so - chances are it's just a poor effort at a joke.

We do? The northern Irish I know are much the same. Though, to be fair, that's not a very big statistical sampling.

Lilli you will hate her because she is hateful :D
    But she can cook?
