Croatia has only 4.4m and we regularly manage to qualify, in fact we're better than most teams out there with hundreds of millions of population and bigger investments in football, like USA. 
The only thing Spain is taking home is the trophy.

If we were to meet you guys we would wipe the floor with you. We have better records on the big stage, and if you consider Yugoslavia as we were part of that and made our contribution with some great names over the years, there's no comparison between USA and Croatia. Currently we have vastly superior players, winners of the major club tournaments in Europe. Reality bro.

They shared all points won by Yugoslavia equally among former countries and we're still very close despite of that. We had and have great players. Our guys were often protagonists in major European clubs, like Juve, Real, Milan, Bayern, etc... Who are your best players btw, the ones that had great careers in Europe, and what is you biggest achievement on the big stage? Croatia was always considered as serious participant that most teams would have liked to avoid, can't say the same for you NT. And Ghana will pummel you
