But when you play those teams, or any other team in the AFCON you almost always end up beating them, so why can't you do the same in the qualifiers.

My biggest regret in Arab football is the golden generation of Egyptian football that won 3 straight AFCON's never played in the WC.

Italy will need to have all their first team players fit if they want to mean anything in Brasil, because a team like the one above, will not be able to do much.
