Why? Why people still treat Spain like it's a big Football nation? They had that one good generation of players, that's it. Spain is done. Bartra, Koke, Isco and even Morata simply won't cut it. You should believe more in your country's talent.
our qualification campagne doesn't look promising right now. so i understand pat's concern.
You are right that we have to trust our talents.

Fixed. And that would be the only reason.

It's like 6 years made people forget generations of Spanish choking.
I imagine it must be how the world saw England in the following years after 66'. Then they came to realize that was it. Spain won't win anything for another 40 years.

Reminds me of Dutch choking...well except those 6 years. And to be honest Belgium are stronger than Netherlands nowadays. In other words Spain losing to the following fellows should not come expected.

Vermeer
Janmaat
de Vrij
Martins Indi
Willems
Klaassen
Blind
Narsingh
Sneijder
Depay
Huntelaar
Sure, the Dutch has always choked at finals (even though they were robbed of a title in 78') but they've always been one of the big nations, always produced some of the best players. Spain existed for less than 10 years and like Swag said, people act like they've always been that good.

Belgium might look stronger on paper but like early 90's Colombia hasn't really shown anything to grant them any relevance. On the contrary, it's a quite disappointing team given the talent those players have.

The difference being that England in 66 won one WC, and only due to an irregular goal, while Spain dominated everything for 6 years straight.

In a time when Italy, Brazil, Argentina and Germany weren't at their best...

And honestly, that was by far not only the worst WC yet and also the worst WC team to win a title. The Dutch should have won but they're historically chokers.

I wonder if the new president would take away bids for hosting both from russia and qatar. Sochi was terrible, as I saw more than the sport (winter olympics at +10C yeah right), and behind those colourful stadiums and greeting messages there was people who were litteraly cut-off from their houses, im not even speaking about corruption and ongoing imperialism.

My votes goes to:
USA for 2018,
England for 2022

Both have hosted. I'd rather see someone new for each. The world is a big place, after all.

Danilo is solid, IMO.
Danilo is GREAT. Still young and lots to learn. One of the best fullbacks out there, easy. No bias.

I was wondering this too, where's Firmino, Oscar, Marcelo, Gustavo, Diego Alves?

Neymar is obvious, but, where's the rest?
Dunga is trying some "new" players, some from the Brasileirão.

Speaking of the devil, Firmino.
