I think both. I'm sure it's for the European registration, but it's probably the same for the Italian one as well.

All of those things combined. I believe UEFA made rules that there are only two transfer periods per year. One in the month January and one in July & August. Outside those, a team cannot buy or sell any players.

Nah Mutu-Crespo are much better than Hasselbaink and Gudjhonsen. Now they have more depth especially if they keep the other 2.
I'd hate to see Jimmy and Eidur on the sidelines. They are both too good for that. :fero::fero::fero::fero::fero:

I think that one of them will stay to back-up the duo of Mutu-Crespo and one will leave because Chelsea already have Mickael Forsell and Carlton Cole as subs.

i have pity for the two...they're now are under quite some pressure to perform..but i have to admit, Crespo-Mutu, that's a scary prospect

Nah, I don't think so. On his day John Terry is one of the best CBs in the Premiership and the two Frenchmen Marcel Desailly and William Gallas aren't terrible players either ;)

Crespo-Vieri was scarier I dare say and we still beat Inter as usual so I'm not worried ;)

marcel Deailly is a washed up player, i wonder sometimes why is he still playing football.

I can't call Gallas a good defender :undecide:

I don't think that's correct .. he has a 'Ferrara' thing going on, he looked solid in Chelsea's tour of Malaysia (Asian Cup) as well as the opening 2 EPL matches ..

Gallas is now a regular in the French NT and was one of the best EPL defenders last season ..

that's becoz of the the players behind them in Inter...take a look at Chelsea's midfield(if they get it sorted out) and wingbacks

Well you can call him Solid or whatever you want, but he was never that Invincible Defender you are talking about, at least for me.He is just an average defender who is Old enough to quit playing football. With him regular in Chelsea back line, they are going no where this season despite all these buys IMO.

They really need a good world class Center Back if they to acheive anything this season.

As for Gallas being regular in the French NT does mean nothing, as their back line sucks. that's why they were eliminated from the latest world cup.
The only 2 real good defenders are Thuram and Mexes if he lives up to what is expected from him.

Do apologize my ignorance, but I'm a out of date a bit  ... does the fact that Crespo left Inter mean that Adriano will leave Parma or will he stay where he is?

I don't think Adriano will leave parma and return to Inter this summer yet. They are after Mark Viduka Now.

    Inter consider Viduka swoop

    -------------------------------------------

Mark Viduka is the latest name to be linked with the Nerazzurri following Hernan Crespo’s departure.

The club is searching for a new striker to fill the gap left by Chelsea’s new £16.5m signing.

Argentine Julio Cruz was the main target, but Bologna are reportedly holding out for the loan of Obafemi Martins.

Inter have so far offered £7m cash plus either Nicola Ventola or defender Daniele Adani.

Should the talks hit a deadlock so close to the August 31 transfer deadline, President Massimo Moratti could turn his attention to the Premiership.

Viduka has made it clear he is unhappy at Leeds United and a move would be pushed through relatively quickly.

Hector Cuper is said to admire the Australian international and his price-tag is around £7m

Viduka would be a flop in Italy; doesn't suit his style.

Adriano cannot come to Inter yet as he is still under contract with Parma. Speaking of which, rumour is Olivera might join Parma on loan.

    Transfers update:

Inter linked with Grosso, Lana, Placente, Viduka, Julio Cruz; and officialy signed Gonzalez.

    Roma linked with Saha.

    Shalke linked with Morientes.

    Juve linked with Klose, Fava.

    Milan linked with Puyol, Zenden.

Lazio linked with Julio Cruz, Solari.

As for Adriano, Inter need to negotiate with Parma to release him from his loan period which I believe is highly unlikely as Parma are already looking for a partner after they sold Mutu to Chelsea.
