Due to fibrosis in the area previously operated on, the player underwent a surgical review this morning of the existing scar on his left heel. Following physiotherapy, the player is expected to resume training in around eight week’s time. The operation was carried out in Perugia, by ProfessorGiuliano Cerulli.
With a view to accelerating the healing process, Igor Tudor, suffering from a bacterial infection for the last ten days, underwent an arthroscope of the right ankle this afternoon to clean up the tibio-tarsic joint and introduce specific antibiotics. The operation was carried out at the Fornaca clinic, Turin, by Dr Roberto Raveda, assisted by Dr Raimondo Piana.
Robert Kovac continues to work his way back to fitness following the injury to his right ankle which ruled him out of a call-up from his national side this week. He will be unavailable for next Wednesday’s (August 16th) friendly against Piacenza but is expected to be ready in time for the first game of the Tim Cup.
Raffaele Palladino continues to work his way back to fitness after injuring his right ankle fifteen days ago. The player is expected to return to training in another fifteen day’s time.
