I'm studying at Uni in Southampton, UK and it's everything you would expect from a uni, many new friends, drunken nights out e.t.c - not boring. If you want to have a good time, you easily can over here. I don't think it's as expensive as everyone makes out. cost about £1100 a year for course fees. Of course you'd have to also pay for accomodation e.t.c

    You really convinced me to check out Holland, I would have never really thought about there in the past. Thanks.

    About the scholarship part, it's not really necessary for me but of course the extra money would help ;)

    I know for a fact that Sweden has several English-taught courses but whether your course is one of them, I don't know. You'd have to check that out somewhere.

    Yup, money's important alright :D Dutch girls come in all kinds - most of them blond though. Quite tall but not too much - I find it to be a bit of turnoff when a girl is taller than I am.

    I've been to UK twice (ONLY) :groan: my cousins study there so I get tidbits of how student life is there. Quite honestly UK is my destination. I do not know why but I love it there, I think it suits me.

    I haven't been to universities there (going to uK for holiday and visit unis? wth?) but I have been to a campus in Manchester, I think its the University of Manchester campus (is there such a university coz I forgot the name), it's really beautiful and peaceful, I love it there.

    And somehow when I was visiting London Dungeon I got stuck with a bunch of Dutch :D Very cute though.

    Go for UK, K10!!!
    Does Italy have any recognized universities? I only know of University of Pisa

    Dutch girls. I guess when I go there I will see for myself. The height aint a problem for me cause I am just over six feet and still growing, shorty ;) :D

    So I think I under-estimated England big time. Sounds like fun. I guess all in all England is my most likely final destination.

    look man, the US universities are gr8, however, theres in Lebanon the American University of Beirut, its the best in the middle east...

    Look at McGill in Canada, as well as some other Canadian universities-some of them are really good, and much cheaper than a comparable US university

    HWIENIAWSKI, I know Canada is alot cheaper but it is a whole different process that I have to go through. Thanks tho.

    And Gray. I am really interested in Austrailian Universities. I hear the education is quite top of the line. How true is this?

    Actually, the education system is pretty dang fine in Australia, though our universities don't get the same big reputations.

    There's no 'good' or 'bad' universities here, it all depends which course you're in it for.

    e.g. UNSW is the best for medicine and engineering, while law and actuarial studies might be better at a different uni for example.

    Sweden has several courses in english. I don't think you'd have any problems finding one you'd like.
    The best university is Lunds university. Here you'll find info about its courses and other stuff.

    How much so is the cost of attending univs in Austrailia.

    Well it really depends. For Australian citizens, there's a system where the government gives all students loans during their education, which they pay back once they get a job, sort of like subsidised education.

    For the international students who can just skip town after their education without paying their loan back :devil:, this option isn't available.

    As for housing, i'm not too sure about that, since i still live with my parents and i have no comparison with other countries...

    2. move out! i mean i wouldnt stay with my parents another day unless there was a real mad serious reason that would kill me otherwise.

    and even then i would fantasize about it
