Man, don't be so harsh to Olivera! You didn't see him play, did you? He is a raising star but only 20 years old! When was a 20-year old playmaker a starter at Juve? You know Lippi: He likes players, how understand his system and who have a good relationship to him. I say: Loan Olivera to a team in the Serie A and get him back when he is 23 or 24. I think he will make progress like Miccoli or Maresca. I believe in him.
Anyways, I don't think we need this Romagnoli. Chiumiento and Maresca aswell as Olivera have a future at Juve, and if Nedved ever leaves, we will buy a high-class replacement! But Gonzalito should be ours as quick as possible!
how was i being harsh to olivera? i simply stated that he hasnt got a go at juve. i agree that he is skillful. but if lippi doesnt want him in the team due to being young, what makes this guy any different? that was my whole point. so just relax a little.

what the hell happen to Athirson?
soccerage

u can find it here. it says he went back to brazil

i just found this though

it says that it was difficult for him to find space in Lippi's JUventus and he went back to brazil

Athirson was never given a chance. i dont understand why either.

Rigoni was another. the next del piero apparently. we kept on loaning him out to serie B teams i think and eventually he got injured. if only we gave him a chance.

others now such as Guzman never look like coming back. we gave away pericard who was promising. we stuffed up brighi. up until recently, maresca wasnt 100% for next season. we'll see what happens with cipriani, sculli and a few others. Zanchi was another. the list goes on.

Gasbarroni was at samp and moggi decided to loan him out to a serie B team instead when he could have been getting serie A experience now.

dont get me wrong, perrotta is an okay player. i really dont see what the hype is about him. he does good for chievo but he isnt national team material in my opinion.

and lets face it, we had better at our club. even now with maresca and maybe an in form Appiah we have better. not forgetting davids over the years.

but we see traps choosing zanetti also. so i'm not sure if his opinion should be taken seriously or not considering there are the likes of gattuso and pirlo around. even ambrosini and maresca.

but zanetti and perrotta seem to have made a partnership even though it took many games but traps persisted with them. the only thing that worries me is that they havent really faced stiff competition. playing against minor national teams and playing against france etc..are two different things.

I wish we kept Athirson and gave him a chance. He was hailed as the next Roberto Carlos at one stage, but i guess that's just because of his nationality and position.

Still, he's great in CM :thumb:

he's doing pretty good for Flamengo too..i think he's their skipper.

anyway, he wouldn't have done well with juve. our fullbacks have too many tactical constraints. in Brazil, he's free to roam along the wing and attack as he pleases.
