Isnt it also funny, especially after last season (when we asked for new creativity), that right now, 2 of our most important players, are defensive ones in Chiellini and Sissoko. I honestly feel we could have scraped through if they had played yesterday. And that really has been the difference i think. At least with those players we were unaware how bad Ciro really is.

do we even have the money to do that? we have to replace Traitor, get another backup CB, a new Camo, new Trez and of course the next Del Piero...and we have like zero sellable players
We can't do it in one summer. That's for sure.

Sebastian Giovinco has been disappointing in Juve. He didn't get his chance nor consistency, but he disappointed our expectations nevertheless.

Still, if you ask me to pick one player from Juve who will do very well in those teams who play this so called modern football, I'll pick Giovinco. He has speed, technique, passing and good off the ball movement.
Seba will flourish in different tactics, different football. There we have one automatic replacement for one of the older guys.

Krasic will be a fantastic replacement for Camoranesi. They can be rotated.

You know, with a different coach and some 3 changes in the starting XI, we'll already make a progress. Then in the next summer we can add the rest.
For now we need to work on adding speed and much better off the ball movement. Then add better passers and slowly things will become better.

I know that it's hard to be patient, but so many things in Juve have been fucked up already that it's impossible to change everything in one season.
Without changes though, things will never become better.

i expect more disappointment in the uefa cup.... we will face some shitty teams and will still lose to them....

and i don't think we will make some big changes one or two players will leave and one or two will arrive.... but no revolution.. we will still keep playing this boring football for the next years to come...our management isn't smart enough to see where the problems are... they will fire ferrara sooner or later just to put the next ranieri in...

sorry for being pessimistic but i just can not see the light at the end of the tunnel....
no smart managers no money no players with pride

For the first time, maybe after the 2003 final vs Milan I had tears watching Juventus.

It's not because we were eliminated as much as it's because I've never seen such a performance by Juventus since several years, not even when we were in Serie B this happened.

I seriously couldn't sleep last night, and I haven't rested since the defeat. I feel pain and I feel like little kid who lost something precious.

To me, everyone holds the responsibility of this defeat.

The Management, for negligence.
The Coach, for terrible and late substituions and decisions.
The players, for not running and for not respecting the jersey they're wearing.

I feel sorry mostly for Del Piero. Unlucky with his injuries since the beg of the season and this was his main chance or shot to get a call for his South Africa ticket. Taking him out for Poulsen wasn't wise at all and like vlatko said, I knew we were going to loose with this subs. At least take him out for Seba.

I love our old guard and I don't have the balls to criticize any of them that much I admit. I love them too much to criticize them. As for the others, I was disappointed like never.

Lets hope we can at least keep competing in Serie A till the end of the season. And hopefully our next CL road will get better.

Forza Juve.

Since we are playing on thursdays in uefa cup, Giovinco instead of DP is a must. Uefa cup wasnt our target this season. Even though we risk loosing more money, i am willing to do some experimenting since some of these players dont have enough chance in league.

DP can play in Serie a games. Giovinco must play in Uefa cup.

If Ciro continues, watch how he will play DP on thursday, and then following sunday. And DP will not perform at his best whatsoever.

Buck, reduce everyone's grades by 1 and you get a  from me.
Yeah, going over them again, I can see that I'm quite lenient with some of the performances. It probably has a lot to do with the expectations I had before (and also during) the game.
However, I did notice that my ratings are rather similar to those of La Stampa. So that does make me a professional, doesnt it ;)

In the meantime I've read through this entire thread, and while some good points have been made about the old guard, I don't necessarily agree with all of them.

The likes of Canna & Camo do seem to be losing it. Same for DP but he's always been a slow starter at the beginning of the season or after injury, so I'll give him some slack for now.

But Trez? Come on now. His first game after injury and he manages to find himself in a scoring position twice, in a game where we barely passed the midfield. To make it even better, he buried one of those chances.
Feel free to disagree with me, but imo, he is the kind of player that we desperately need right now.

As expected, I also saw a lot of criticism directed towards Ferrara for the DP-Poulsen sub.
Even though I think every one saw that we needed to change our midfield play. As bad as he was, taking off Melo for Poulsen was impossible because that wouldn't have strengthened our midfield. That only left Ciro with 2 choices: Alex or Diego. Personally I might have opted to take Diego out, but Alex wasn't really helping the cause either so I can understand it.

Strictly speaking this thread would more appropriately be named "Il disastro di Torino". "the Torino disaster" rather than "the disaster in Torino"

If you wanna give the event a historical name that is

i can not describe this feeling.. i really felt empty inside... i know it is just football and only one match but it really broke my heart seeing this side crushing out like this.. without passion without pride.... never seen us playing like this in such a big game before... i felt betrayted by the whole team.
we are giving blood and sweat for this team and they seemed to not care about this game... this is what really broke my heart.
buffon said once that this shirt is heavy and u have to earn it but it seems noone really understands his words....

I couldn't sleep because I was bombarded by SMS's from friends, who are generally Milan fans. That La Coruna ass-raping sure came back to bite me in the ass.
