what this has to do with what I said? Maybe an Injury could stop him or Lippi changing his Mind....

Weak Performance?? Gimme a break dude......
hehe Give me a break :cheesy:

Talking Logicaly DP is not qualified to play in WC. its not cuz of injury or lippi's choice ?

Lippi can't deny Dp if he is perfroming Good and feels that he is ganna be an active player for azzurri in WC not even him but every coach . and we all know how can Dp perform at the moment and you can imagine what he can do next year for azzurri in WC 2006 (nothing). Calcio is not measure !

i hope : the word that you have said it can not be found in Roma's Players or Milan's or even other teams Players dictionary why?

Cuz you can not say i hope to see (Totti -cassano) or (Pirlo-nesta) play in WC ... their positions allready quaranteed .its not cuz of lippi choice its cuz about their fine perfromance which all italians convinced that they will be the best group to present italy .

we all like DP not only you, but to talk honestly its still one year left for WC he could not guarantee himself this year in azzurri formation with norway match. so what do you expect !!!?

Del Piero weds in secret Tuesday 14 June, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero is now a married man after he wed Sonia Amoruso on Sunday.

The two tied the knot in a small ceremony at the San Crato church in Turin, in front of just 12 guests.

The couple, who have been partners for some time, are now believed to be enjoying their honeymoon in Polynesia.

If he played regular football next year he will, there is no way that Lippi will favour names like Espossito, Toni, Lucarelli ahead of Del Piero those names can make their international debut during friendlies and shitty qualification matches not in WC...
why? these players all scored more goals at worser clubs. Delpiero has a chance just like any others. plus he has one more advantage, his name. so i actually wouldnt be surprised if he goes to germany. but i think hes had his go at international tournaments. next please.

i reckon Toni has wat it takes to become the top 2 for the number 9 for italy. hes a solid performer!

Well to your first point, Dp can do nothing in the Azzurri is rubbish, Italy doesn't depend on one player dude, I don't wanna mention you the big names also that failed to do something with the Italian Jersey, so your words are rubbish, (no offence), You take a player that is performing good, and you don't sit down and pretend like you know what Del Piero will do in the Future..

And If you wanna talk about his past with the Azzurri, I guess you were sweating your ass out, when we were loosing 1-0 to Mexico, But yet Del Piero Saved your ass. Not to mention he didn't play a full 70min with Korea, and didn't play also as a regular in the 1st round.

I really don't care If Cassano and Totti already booked a place in the WC as long as they are doing good, though Del Piero did better than Cassano this year.

So my whole point was that I really Hope Del Piero can keep performing Because I wanna see him in the WC06 under Lippi:star:

About the Norway match? Let me Remind you Totti wasn't there either, does that make him out of the WC06???

Remmber also Juve can't make a tour in Asia without Del Piero, we all know the Fans want to see him, they spend money to see the Great Del Piero, So it would be kinda useless going without taking Del Piero. Not to mention the Cash he brought them from this tour.

Del Piero Weds Sonia
6/14/2005 9:51:00 AM
The Juve captain surprised everyone with an intimate and small wedding on Sunday night.
Alessandro Del Piero learnt a few tricks from his General Director, Luciano Moggi, as he denied in the last months that he would get married this summer and yet the news came out that the Italian forward wed Sonia Amoruso this past weekend.

The ceremony took place on Sunday night at the San Crato church of Turin. It was a very intimate ritual as only the closest relatives were invited.

After the service, Del Piero and his newly wed wife left for a honey moon in the tropics.

At the end of the day you should be picked on merit and not by reputation, thats why imo Lippi's decision to drop dp and totti was the right one against norway.

As for WC 2006 I can see both Totti and Cassano being there but I'd rate dp's chances at less than 50% at this point in time. He needs a period of sustained good form in the run up to the tournament itself. I find it hard to believe he's going to get all that much playing time with Mutu Zlatan and seemingly Cassano all in the pecking order ahead of him.

Your point about the Mexico game is rather irrelevant by the way, they would have qualified even if they lost that match

Thats why I told him I don't mind Totti and Cassano as long as they are performing well, though Del Piero can play alongside these 2.

About Del Piero's playing time, I think If he keep on performing well, there's no need to worry about his playing time, unless Capello will want to screw his chance.

About the Mexico Game, I know we would have qualified Tom, I meant by Saving his ass, Like puting Italy in a more suitable sitiuation and confortable.

i seriously disagree that DP should be dropped ahead of players like Gila or Toni..these guys r not proven in the highest level..yeah, Gila scored a lot of goals, but hey, Parma is playing 1 striker formation and the midfield keeps feeding him the ball..if Vieri is fit, i would pick Vieri over Gila on any day...
I think DP stil got what it takes to go to WC06, but not as a starter..but a useful bench player..in terms of creativity, so far as i am concern, only a few azzurri players can create...Totti, Cassano, DP, Camoranesi..
I know what Lippi is trying to do, trying out diff players n formation...however 06 is just 1 yr away..if Italy wanna goes far, better start preparation earlier and try to settle down sooner..
however, i stil think everyone got an equal chance and if anyone deserved to go to Germany if he plays well in the new coming seaosn...even Gila...if he can prove himself in a bigger stage for e.g. scoring for Milan against top europe sides??
