Fairness for everyone including both the team and Del Piero.
Your problem is that you put Del Piero and the club at the same level, and maybe you put Del Piero at a higher level but try to avoid saying it to be objective. Alas it is so muc obvious how much you favour Del Piero over the club.

In an Interview with Giannichedda, He stated that he's happy to be here in Juventus Specially next to the Legend Del Piero where he can learn alot of things from him. :star: :thumb:
a Little too late for him to learn anything, dont u think?

Anyhow, although I dont fully think DP's performances were that great this season, or that he performed better than Cassano, I do think that DP will be a good alternative on the bench.

Toni, Gila, Vieri are all goal getters, Cassano is the mobile support striker, but DP is the only one with grace out of all the strikers, so it wont be bad for italy to have a different option on the team.

I think Italy has a history of depending on an individual for leadership on the field, eversince Baggio they never had anyone, Totti is good enough in quality but terrible attitude. DP is momentarily the only one I see who can lead Italy, unfortunately I dont see his performances as great thus neither are Italy's chances in Germany.

If he played regular football next year he will, there is no way that Lippi will favour names like Espossito, Toni, Lucarelli ahead of Del Piero those names can make their international debut during friendlies and shitty qualification matches not in WC...
Are you serious?

You don't choose national team players on the name, that would be stupid. You choose on the performance and no one in his right mind can argue that this year Toni, Esposito and Lucarelli did not have a better season than DP.

If Juventus had based itself on names, it would have never risked DP to take the place of Baggio.

Well thats the way the cookie crubles i guesse but have u guys ever considered they dont want to sell del piero because of the sheer ability to win games. Just like they wont sell zambrotta because of his hard work, like no matter what Del Piero will not be soled and i do not think he is overrated and i think he will be in germany next year because of his sheer talent.

Too late? Please Explain....

Del Piero had a good season, and Yes he performed better than Cassano, I've seen alot of Roma matches, and I do think Del Piero did better Job than cassano, Not to forget the playing time that Cassano had more.

Yes Italy did had alot of leadership players, but I repeat they never depend on a player. Baggio in 94 was a great Player but I don't think Dino Baggio or Maldini or etc were putting pressure on him....There is a big diff between Leadership and Depending on a player.

why? these players all scored more goals at worser clubs. Delpiero has a chance just like any others. plus he has one more advantage, his name. so i actually wouldnt be surprised if he goes to germany. but i think hes had his go at international tournaments. next please.

i reckon Toni has wat it takes to become the top 2 for the number 9 for italy. hes a solid performer!
Toni is nothing but another version of Corradi, I have witness some terrible football played by this guy...
while I doubt that anyone will ever remmber the name of the top scorer of 04/05 after two years, was it Locatteli or or Lucarelli or Lupatelli...
In a world cup ya need classy, talented, skillful players and depending on such name is nothing but wasting yar chances to another four years...
Anyway I trust Lippi's visoin and I know that he will makes right decisions...

If performance is the only case that matter then Brazil should never called Ronaldo for the WC 2002 as he spent the whole season injured and rarely touched the ball...
What was the result of this decision ???
He finished top scorer of the touranment...
Expert coaches have good vision of players, they don't make their decisons depending on one year flashy performance, otherwise ya won't even need a coach for yar team, ya can call the top scorers in the table for attack and the deffense line of the team who concede less goals in the league...

First of all,I don't have any problems!
Certainly it's obvious for you because you want Del Piero out of the team and free spot for someone else. Why?Becuse Del Piero is 30years old, right.Well that doesn't mean anything, half of our team is near 30(Chimenti,Thuram,Cannavaro,Nedved,Emerson,Tacchinardi,Kovac,Giannichedda,Montero,Pessotto,Birindelli).
And I'm not putting anyone at the same level or even higher lever than Juve,I'm still convince that Del piero can lead us in the future.
But ok,if you think different that's your opinion.
The time will show who is right and I really hope that I'm the one.

And one more thing, when I see the player who kisses the hump when he scores the goal,I'm concince that he loves the club! ! !
That is pure rarity, but I saw that in few occasions from Lampard,Raul and Del Piero. We should be proud to have such player!

but u gotta get one thing straight. a 'bomber' is there to do one thing, Score goals. they cant play football for shit haha. They are big, hard to bring down and need good technique.

and ur right in the world cup we do need classy, talented, skillful players.
ENTER Cassano, Pirlo, Totti, Camoranesi. (by the way, all of these names play well in tournaments, and have proved)

Pirlo was horrific in the two matches he got in 04, ditto for Camoranesi.

Cassano was good, that's it.

Totti's the only one who was the BOMB, his tournament performances have been absolutely unequalled. Last time I checked, I believe he was Itlay's top scorer.... somewhere around 80 goals? or was it 8 in close to 50 matches?

In 2000, he paved the way for the team scoring and creating goals left right and center!

He then took it to the next level in 2002, leading Italy to dominate the tournament, with win after win... and managing not to get sent off in the process.

His journey to achieving legendary status culminated in 2004, when he showed up with his hair braided and the ever delightful 'I got hot sand in my shoes' notion. Funny was he the only one wearing those Nike Total 90's?

Obviously, I agree with everything you say.
