Well if Cassano does arrive then Capello is unlikely to leave him on the bench, Zlatan will play as well - and if Capello uses 3 forwards then the other starter would be Trez.

DP didn't like being subbed this season, but he at least started the games - I can't see him accepting starting from the bench. Especially in a World Cup year.

Of course this all depends on Cassano actually coming....but if he does it might be in DP's best interests to go. I still can't see him leaving though I agree.

Is Cassano worth all the merry-go-round his arrival would prompt?
It depends more on DP, if he wants to guarantee a place in WC2006 he might consider leaveing if Cassano arrived, we already know that Moggi is not willing to release DP at any cost....

If he played regular football next year he will, there is no way that Lippi will favour names like Espossito, Toni, Lucarelli ahead of Del Piero those names can make their international debut during friendlies and shitty qualification matches not in WC...

No it must be a wish Capello turns out to be fair with him next year
What is your definition of "fairness?" Does it have to do with deciding what's best for the team, or what is best for Del Piero?

Juve have to sell to buy
by Patrick Goss - created on 12 Jun 2005

Juventus will have to sell off their top players if they want to buy this summer, according to general manager Luciano Moggi.

Juve have already moved to snap up players for the coming season - the most controversial of which is Adriano Mutu who was sacked by Chelsea.

Moggi, who continues to insist that star man David Trezeguet will not be leaving the club, has admitted that the coffers are drained and high-profile links to likes of Alberto Gilardino are wide of the mark.

"We have signed Giuliano Giannichedda, [Robert] Kovac and Mutu so far in advance that people won't think about them," said Moggi.

"Is there money to spend? There sincerely is not.

"To buy we must sell, but Trezeguet is priceless and not for sale. Only those over the age of 30 will leave.
"Why have we missed out on Gilardino? Because Parma did not put him on the market.

"The current ownership told us they would inform us and now his sale will depend on the new owners.

"We have an option him but we won't use it."
