Capello silences angry Alex Saturday 28 May, 2005

“A club like Juventus cannot give guarantees to a player, as those who go on to the field do so because they have earned it,” snapped Capello in response. “If Del Piero asks for guarantees, then what are the others supposed to say?”

Well, why the hell Capello hold zalayeta , and Ibrahim on the site than?
He played with Olivera-Zalayeta combination against Lazio, If I remember well.
Capello....just a demagogue.

Mind you, in the end we only won the scudetto thanks to a brilliant move by Del Piero. Capello is building a team with Zebina's and Emersons (who still isn't half as good as Davids once was.)

Im getting sick and tired of hearing of ibra and mutu or trez. I want a juventus with italians, not foreigners.

sometimes zlatan was playing worst then del piero and
he sub del piero with zalyeta or trezeguet that's show he is not fair to alex
Bravo guys, you said all the things I wanted to.
I totally agree with every word you said. At least some of you thing as I do.

onther thing we lost 8 points in 4 matches he reminds me of ancheloti

He did win the title, so he isnt like Ancelotti.

We shouldnt have to play rough with the players we have. And how come with Cassano Capello barely ever benched him he just turned away, but when del piero says something capello cant guarantee anything. THis is bullshit. Watch if we bring Cassano he will run his mouth and play every game. This arguement is ridiculous

First of all, of course Cassano is going to plaz everz match in Roma: First of all, Capello bought him. Second, he's one of Italy's biggest talents. Third, WHO THE FVCK WOULD REPLACE HIM? Mido? Corvia?

The question you have to ask yourself is this one: do I like to see Juventus play or not?

I don't like to see Juventus playing. I think we're horrible to watch. If it weren't Juve playing I would put on my shoes and play some football myself outside.

So do that FFS, it's hardly only Capello's fault.

I have a strange feeling that you like ibrahim much more then Del Piero because he is ZLATAN ibrahimovIC , (pay attention to marked letters)
and that you think the dimensions of the player are the greatest virtue...well it's not, it is really not so marrow ,only for the headers, and Del Piero made even more headers than ibrahim, this season.
Ibrahim didn't score a goal in the C.L. games...why?He wasted a lot of chances anyway,he is not so good as everyone here think he is.
Yes,Del Piero played much better 97. and 98. but he is still great potential, and he can do a lot of good things for us.
He can decide the whole game with one brilliant move, just like he did against milan, and many times before.

You're wrong on all counts.

First of all, I dont overrate Zlatan, and I critisize him when he deserves it.

Second, Del Piero is a choker. He tends to dissapear in the big games and it's a real miracle he performed against Milan. Third, he's getting worse and worse every year, and he hardly has potential, he's 30 FFS.

I am sure that you are a great admirer of Zlatan, and he is not so great as you think.

BTW your captain from your sig, Sergej Barbarez is 32 years old...so much about the years.

And how would you know if I'm a great admirerer of Zlatan or not?

And it's a bit different when you dont exactly have better or younger players to replace someone, as we dont have with Sergej.

It's pretty obvious that you are. ZLATAN IBRAHIM...IC

So,you don't have adequate young replacement for Barbarez, right?

Tell me ,who do you see as a young replacement for Del Piero?

I still don't see how it's obvious. And maybe Zlatan isn't as good as I think, but Del Piero sure as hell isnt as good as you think.

And there is a huge difference between Barbarez and Del Piero. First of all, Barbarez' replacement would have to be Bosnian, and there simply isn't a player of his qualites at this time. Del Piero, however, could be replaced by Cassano, Tevez, Fernando Torres, Miccolli, Eto'o... a lot of players, inculding Zlatan.

I think Capello is a stubborn sergeant. But as he said, so far, results proved him right. But Lippi never said "results proved him right". Capello lacks what Lippi always had, and what made us love Juventus: Style, Class and Intelligence.
And Lippi lacked what Capello has: a backbone when it came to standing up to temperamental players who might have been thinking a little more about themselves -- when they should have thought more about the best interests of the entire team.

Well, that, including Zlatan ,from the end of your text, makes it obvious.

Believe me, everyone could be replaced, it;s only question do you want it or not.You definitely want Del Piero out, but especially when you can make a replacement like forexample this one (Del Piero - Tevez) you should make a good thinking before doing it.

I think to end this discussion on a high note we should all agree to this.

What Club does Ale Del Piero play for? Juventus
Will argueing about this make him stay or go? No
Is he at Juve until management says otherwise? Yes
Do people have both good and bad opinions about him? Yes
SHould we be juventus fc or Del Piero Fc? Juventus FC
Is Del PIero a better player than anyone in this forum? Most likely
Thats all folks

Yes, because we all know Del Piero is the greatest player in the world.

Please, this is not worth discussing with you.
Ok, no hard feelings, I don't want to argue likewise, we should not forget that we are on the same side (Juve 's side) so whatever happen neither you or me can't change that, we only support Juve however it looks like, wherever it is (I mean the table position), and whoever plays for it.
You have your opinion,I do mine so we stated them, and that should be all.

Are you agree with that???????

It's pretty much only Capello's fault I'm afraid. A coach determines how his team plays and you're not going to tell me Juve lack in quality to produce exciting football. Sure, we're no Milan, but we shouldn't play like Piacenza either. We have Del Piero, Zambrotta, Camoranesi, Zlatan and Nedved. If you can't put forward some nice football with those players, you never will. So yes, it's only Capello's fault.

The choker argument is over now. DP performed in the biggest game of the season. Hardly a choker IMO.

Why do you give DP credit for this move, but you refuse to give Zlatan the credit for the goal against Bayern, instead again you give the credit for Del Piero.
