But when you look at the statistics, you would see that Del Piero has been our most influential player this season. So yes, he did choke against the big teams once again, but we wouldn't have been on top without him.
Stats are just stats, not more than that ... Regardless of the statistics any neutral fan can tell you Alex was fairly invisible throughout this season. Having said this it doesnt mean that some of us Juve fans aren't loyal to him.

Look at the games again and you will see that DP contributed nothing to our game. Gimme a break, Capello substituting him had nothing to do with his personal taste of players. DP was given quite a number of chances by Capello to show something on the pitch - he was given the chance to start a game and yet after the first half he didnt do much for us. Such play must be called in question and so he was substituted because he did not give us anything.

I think Del Piero is a great player (still is despite many disagreeing); but so far this season has not been his. I understand some fans are loyal to him throughout his tough times, we all are because we're encouraging him to do better but our love for our captain shouldnt blind us. No player should come above the club. Del Piero is not an exception. I hope he will do well soon, for his sake, my sake and most importantly Juve's sake.

Chances?? Subs Dp almost every game when it's min 64?? when you have 25min more to play...am not against Benchin Del Piero, but not the way Capello is doing it.
DP was given chances in most of the games, he was even in the starting line up. DP need not to score a goal to prove his worth but even throughout the first half he was invisible, what else can Capello do but substitute him? 64 minutes of nothing is a long time, of course he had to be substituted. If it was any other player we would all want that player to be substituted with that kind of play.

But I think Del Piero is improving, so I hope he would do well.

Massimo, is your greatest aspiration in life to work 9 to 5 in a crappy office job and piss your life away being a slave to the consumerist world whilst your motivation to beat the working week is the weekend?
