Yeah Donny, you don't like DP so you should stay away from a DP thread.:D

I think we should ban everyone who doesn't think the sun shines out of DP's arse from every DP thread. Then the 'lovers' will have their own little nirvana free from nasty wasty little men like you!:D
Should I laugh here?

Did you guys see on Raisport how Del Piero did not so much as look at Cap as he was leaving the pitch?! The guys who made the "resumé" froze the picture...Quite shocking how DP was pissed!
Hope he's gonna show his real worth against Milan!!!

The whole "shut up" movement is a joke of the year.

That being said, why it always looks like that there are these few guys like Monkfish and Don_Bes and Azzurri7 who are just going on and on and on. Let's end the season and see how the transfer market is going to develop etc. Maybe then there's something new to discuss (not that it matters to you, you just like to babble like old ladys).

He couldn't have been surprised after the sitter he missed from Neddy's cross

His face after he missed it just showed how little confidence he has at the minute.

He didn't look shocked that he missed it (which is always a sign of no confidence - if he was confident then he would have expected to score and would perhaps have looked shocked that he didn't - that make sense?), you could just tell that he wanted the ground to open up and swallow him.

There's no doubt he'll start against Milan, but he needs some sort of confidence booster because otherwise it'll be another DP noshow.

I don't think he was annoyed at being subbed, I think he was annoyed with himself.

He definitely was annoyed with himself. I disagree about not looking shocked though. He missed it, but he looked as if he wanted to say "I missed, so what, what can you do?". IMO he looked pretty professional there.

Yes, he does lack confidence. And apparently, you do realize how important it is to play with confidence. People can say whatever they want about him, but if they were true Juve fans, and they all know Juve is 'stuck' with him for at least the end of this season....they would back him instead of questioning every move he makes.

We were up 2-1 yesterday and pretty much had the game wrapped up. Capello could have easily shown faith and brought in Trezeguet for Zalayeta. Zalayeta wasn't doing anything (apart from scoring the easy header) up to that minute. And considering the game opened up in the last 15 minutes or so and Bologna were going forward, it would have given him that boost he's after.

Does it make sense that Ale and Trez, our successful partnership of the last couple of years, has only played 2 or 3 games together this season??

I agree with you in a sense that I don't think he was really annoyed at Capello, he knew he should've scored from that easy header so he was just ashamed I think.

I don't think you can make so clear judgements based on person's facial expressions after certain situations. I mean, we are all different and we all have different ways to express ourselves. Sure, some patterns of behaviour are more common than others but I don't find it very reasonable to analyze players based on how "they look" on the field. Sometimes you can draw conclusions from that but as DP isn't the kind of person who shows a lot of emotions, it really doesn't work with him.

DP has been often critized for not having passion and to some extent and in some circumstances it may be true, but too often people say DP didn't have the fighting spirit just because he didn't make an angry face or something.

I also agree with kthx when he said Capello could've substituted Zala instead of DP. Sure, maybe DP "deserved to be substituted" but it could've been more beneficial to take Zalayeta (who was apart from his goal pretty average) out and let DP search that one moment of success. In the last minutes Bologna's defense was quite vulnerable so DP could've succeeded and that would've been definately a positive thing concerning the coming Milan game.

And speaking of Milan game, I hope it'll be DP and Trez who are starting. Most likely Trez will be in the starting line-up if he doesn't pick up another injury to his never-ending list but I also think DP, despite his lack of form in the past five games or so would be a more efficient choice than partnering Zala with Trez. Zala is ok, sometimes good but I don't have good memories from having those two guys as two forwards at the same time. DP and Trez have a connection so I hope it'll be capitalized.

I was wondering how long it was before you joined in azzurri7!:dontcare:

A DP thread can't be considered a DP thread until you are all over it....all we need now is one of your famous "Forza Del Piero" posts.

You bring so much to these forums, thank you.:fool:
Just looking through these threads, one of the best posts ever made

Zalayeta scored an easy goal but Del Piero didn't manage to do the same thing!
Why do we need to give DP time to searcg for his form? We have given him forever to do THat. Its clear that we are preparing Trezeguet - Zalayeta duo for the Milan match...so the DP substituted by Trez seems very logical to me.

Because DP has given so much to the club and given us so many points this season and scored a goal against Bayern
