Capello Promises Space To Del Piero

The captain did not play against Brescia, but the Bianconeri’s boss promised him he will soon feature in his first eleven.
Juventus managed to open a five point gap at the top of Serie A thanks to a 2-0 win over Brescia. However the ‘Old Lady’ fans did not appreciate the fact that Alessandro Del Piero was left out of the team once again.
”Today I aimed on Ibra and Trezeguet,” declared Capello, “Del Piero is an important player for us and he will have space. It’s nice to hear that only Juve is criticized for these choices.”
Capello has preferred Ibrahimovic to Del Piero and his choices seem to be paying off as the Swedish player has already built up a good partnership with David Trezeguet.
“The squad played well, with a good fighting spirit as we created 6 goal scoring chances.”

This is similar to Beckham, he is in a comfort zone, tell him he is likely to be dropped forever, even sold and then I bet his performances pick up, whatever you think of me I used to be a huge fan of Del Piero, he USED to be brilliant and it is painful to see him like this, but is this how he ends his carear? With a wimper?

it is not since 1996 my friend in 1997-1998, 1998-1999 DP made his best seasons ever not to mention 2001-2002, 2002-2003 when he make a great partnership with Trezewall that lead us for 2scudetto and CL final....
about his form this season???? Capello didnt let us see much of him to judge, but from what i've seen he was OK...
1998-99? Wrong In that season he only scored one goal before getting injured, and quite frankly he was shit. I remember we played the first match of the season at home against Lecce if I'm not mistaken, and DP and Tacchinardi were taken off some mintues before the end and they were both whistled off the pitch. Then in injury time Conte (I think) scored the winner...now that was a captain! Giving his heart out and showing all that fighting spirit and character...something which DP sadly lacks and that is why he will never be back to his best.

I think Capello is a fool.

what do u expect him to do? to play with zlatan and an out-of-form delpiero and keep trezeguet on the bench? while trezeguet needs to play to be back to his form....
del piero needs to improve and i hope he does, and im sure capello will choose him when he feels that del piero is in good shape...
That's what people said when he quit for the first time.
Situation is different now though, all of Lippi's "kids": Iuliano, Montero, Ferrara, Del Piero, Tacchinardi, Tudor, etc. are either old, gone, or simply suck.
