Even if he's right, as THE LEGEND of a club you have to have your team's back. If you find it difficult to do so then it's better to remain silent.
But I don't think he's right about first leg. If you suffer from poor refereeing you have to speak out. This is not a league with 38 matches, where you're given chance after chance to make up for an injustice.
And please don't compare this to usual cries of our Serie A rivals. Roma players were crying on week 6! Goal di Munatri happened in February. I'm not even sure what Napoli always cries about.

But to talk about the first leg that was officiated by another referee is absurd, and what Buffon said after the game was also wrong, which I didn't like even yesterday when I was extremely frustrated myself.

I was talking strictly about 1st leg comments. Did Buffon talk about first leg? I thought Agnelli did.

I disagree completely. All Real Madrid and Barcelona games are officiated by different refs. That's what makes it even more infuriating. You can't sit back and say there's no connection between these games. If teams are consistently robbed of fair calls when playing Madrid, the conclusion is obvious really.

I do agree with saying that Gigi's words were too harsh. That's the kind of language you reserve for someone like Moreno (2002). Someone who doesn't just buckle under pressure, but deliberately makes the wrong call. I believe Oliver just lacked the quality to stand firm yesterday.

Yup. There's no grand conspiracy behind all this. There might be in not allowing VAR or assigning poor refs (really Cakir, again?), but in the end I believe it's the refs succumbing to the pressure.

When you're talking about first leg you are obviously not talking only about this ref. Oliver was an idiot throwing himself into the center of attention like that but the issue is bigger than him. We had 3 red cards in past 3 matches against Madrid, and every one of them was dubious. That Dybala red card was followed swiftly by their 3rd goal, and then we were denied a penalty at the end. What did Real get? protection for countless Ronaldo dives and a dubious penalty at the last 20 seconds.
