Oh I don't know, the obvious progression of time?
What time? Technically Del Piero is still the Captain till this day. And EVEN if his contract will run out in 3days time there's no reason to move or edit this title, we all know he's the greatest Captain in the history of this club so there's absolutely no reason to edit it just because he's not part of the team anymore.

And what about all the other legends who have come and gone? It's great, you've gotten to live through a wonderful time for the club, but sadly it doesn't all end with him.
We will move the thread to legends section when he retires from football all together or comes back to Juventus as a director/coach. As long as he plays, he's a Juventus player and captain. Enough said.

Because he's always a part of the team. I thought we agreed to move the thread to Legends section when DP would come back as a director.

Come on mods... it's symbolic that he stays in players section, and keep the il capitano for God's sake... I can't believe this shit.. Rab, where the hell are you?
There are many Juventus legends, there's only one Del Piero. Keep treating him like he never left the club or start a whole new section for him.
I'll be honest, I never anticipated responses like this.

If it means that much to you, I'm not fussed. It would still be the same thread no matter where it is.

Here is a picture of Del Piero with the man that said he is the best player he has ever played against.

When it comes to Ale, Il Capitano doesn't refers only to the armband, it's much more. After 19 years, no matter what, he can't just go back and be only Del Piero again. Impossible, it doesn't feel right. And this title is how we're honoring him, how we respect him and thank him for all he did. And it says more now than when he was part of the club, the actual Capitano. Il Capitano is his second name, and he deserves to be called like that for the rest of his life.
