I preferred the old one to be honest.
Same here.

Former Juventus midfielder Edgar Davids was quick to heap praise on the contributions of Alessandro Del Piero to the club's cause, who waved goodbye to the Bianconeri after 19 years of dedicated service.

Speaking at Tiger Beer's Street Football event in Singapore, Davids pointed to the fact that Del Piero was a living representation of Juventus' name itself, and therefore had been rightfully immortalised as a true club legend.

"Football will never see another Alessandro Del Piero," Davids sighed to Goal.com Singapore when asked of his reaction to hearing news of the 37-year-old's impending departure.

"Juventus will never be able to buy a similar player.

"Nobody can take his place in the team. He achieved every one of his personal objectives with so much flair and personality.

"He was such a tremendous embodiment of Juventus, on the pitch and off it. That, you cannot replace."

I scored a goal "alla del piero" last night for my team. Celebrated by sticking out my tongue. It felt like I was ale for a split second and it felt amazing. Such a shame we're not going to see him score any more of those in a juve jersey

This must've been posted already, but I just came to see this. Damn :touched:

When we were winning always. On the pitch, more then others.
When we fell down.
When we didn't even know where we might end up.
When we came to know and accepted the decision. Then, we were fighting to get up.
When we took the pitch in Rimini. When the others were celebrating and we were just watching them. When some hoped we would never make it back. When we started to go up again. When we couldn't find the way. When we finally found it: winning again.

This is our celebration , earned by the sweat of brow. And the party of all who have always believed.
The party of all Juventus supporters who instead of renouncing just spoke up and made us hear you all.
The celebration of those who cheered the goal scored in B no less than the goal that brought us a scudetto.
And the celebration for our opponents, why not, (may be just not all of them), who never lost respect for us.
It's a celebration of Balzaretti, Belardi, Bianco, Birindelli, Bojinov, Boumsong, Buffon, Camoranesi, Chiellini, De Ceglie, Giannichedda, Giovinco, Guzman, Kovac, Lanzafame, Legrottaglie, Marchionni, Marchisio, Mirante, Nedved, Palladino, Paro, Piccolo, Trezeguet, Venitucci, Zalayeta, Zanetti, Zebina. Coach Deschamps.

It was destined to have this outcome, I never stopped believing.
Thank you all, guys. Let's enjoy it, we've earned it hard.
I was here, you were here. We were here. And we are here at last. We are back.
