Obviously it's his age. I would say that I don't know why certain people are comparing Del Piero with players that have several years left at the top level, but I do know why.

Because Del Piero has scored probably the most important goal of the season, as well as a couple more against the top level teams of the league, he is not earning that much and he wants to stay. So, one more year, not several, wouldn't harm the club.

I don't care anymore, I'm just really sad that if rumors are true he will leave us, and I have never known a Juve without DP, so I don't put much thought in this and try to focus on the current season instead of ruining my season with pure speculations.

You seem to be a smart guy, tell me why does the club not offer him a new contract? Wouldn't it make the things easier for everyone, fans and media? If Alex is determined to leave, he will decline it. Fans will know that he is leaving on his own terms and the club will have shown a classy gesture.

I don't know what is happening behind closed doors, I have no contacts in there. I think he would want to finish his career here, but as he said himself it's very hard for him to be in this situation where he doesn't get enough time, so maybe he really wants to move and play regulary in his last days?

If DP decided to retire now he would get the chance to do it in Juve, but he wants to play more, he probably wants to play 2-3 years if he avoids injuries, and that is not possible, so if not this season then next we would come to the same situation we are having now.

If he leaves it will surely be sad day, but a day after which I can see week in and week out regular highlights of his with plenty of goals and skill, because here, this would not be possible.
