I don't give a fuck about what Marotta says, I don't want him to stay. This club treats him like shit for years now, don't forget that they made problem before they gave him new contracts for few times after the Calciopoli. Year after year. I'm just waiting for this season to end, I want to enjoy again, watching him on the pitch again instead of the bench. I watched him last night and I felt like killing Conte and the board (well, I feel this way all the time), it's so cruel that such a genius doesn't get to play, but Borriello starts.
Marotta would have said that in his interview then. It was no harm in saying that, it wouldn't have suggested that Ale would certainly stay. What he said though shows they want him out especially when talking about Buffon in the exact opposite manner in the same interview. What confuses me however is why they shouldn't want to offer him another year contract.
You're right, he can't. But I'm sure he can control and articulate how he says it. The last interview almost had an agenda with how brash he was in dismissing Ale's contract situation. He had no empathy towards the situation or a club legend. None of that required him to follow protocol. He just had to show some respect of his own accord.
That doesn't change the fact that what he said was a disaster.

Look, to me, to me personally, to me Rabih Fawaz, to me myself, when Del Piero was the first one to commit to Juventus in 2006, the very first one to say he's remaining with the team be it B or Serie C and when Buffon said "When Del Piero decided to stay I couldn't leave, if a player like him is staying then I'm staying" this is something too big for me and to Juve fans let alone his achievements, his 20years, him being the most important player in Juventus history to majority etc, let alone all these him committing to Juve in Calciopoli as the first one alone deserves a life-long contract.

Well he was replying to questions from Tuttosport as far as I know. Marotta isn't going to go against what his president said, so I don't see the issue from his perspective. Because it was put next to 'Buffon can stay for life', it becomes an insult, but it's two different situations. Buffon has years left, Alex doesn't.
The only issue I see is the one between Agnelli and Del Piero, the position is no different. Some people will never get over the thought of Alex leaving, which is fair enough, but taking jumping to conclusions to an Olympic sporting level is another thing. I'm also not convinced that Del Piero's issue is even whether he stays at Juventus, but that he should have been the one to announce anything.

It'll be very sad that we won't let a legend like him leave on his own terms. If it wasn't for the likes of Del Piero and Buffon, we wouldn't be where we are today. We were left to dead in Serie-B and they pulled us back with a shitty management.
But I don't understand the argument of Agnelli wanting to ship out Del Piero because of power and politics. How much power would he lose if he let Del Piero stay for another year? This club owes Del Piero a lot, and letting him leave on his own terms would repay only 10% of what he has done for us.
