He will when he'll see that he can't even give 45 minutes of high level football. But right now he thinks he can still do that and frankly, I think he's right. Some quit when they're on top, some when they see that they can't play top football week in week out, like Nedved did. Some though continue until they see that they can't follow what the youngsters do in training and realize that it's time to stop playing. Del Piero is obviously one of the latter. Giggs and J. Zanetti are similar cases despite being physically better prepared than DP. Since we don't have four strikers who can clearly offer more than him, I see no reason to push him out of the squad. When we'll have 3-4 strikers who will show him that they are superior to him in training and in an official football match, I think that Del Piero will call it quits on his own.

we are talking about next season, and a healthy quag or his replacement will obviously be ahead of a 38 yo DP, not to mention any younger addition(s) we might get to replace the departing 3 amigos. Alex can call it quits on his own but hes not in our plans beyond this year, and from what i saw it's pretty justified imo

I hope every fucking player learns anything they can find from the man himself before he leaves. Pepe had his special FK training and Marchisio with his lethal 1-2 move.

Antonio Conte: "Alessandro Del Piero? Where's he going? He's staying here. For me Alessandro is a fundamental guy."

That's it. He is fired
I am yet to see someone as lame as yourself... my god Hoori and Rab are right the way they have described you in this thread

maybe he should also choose the coach and formation, lets face it Alex is not the kind who will call it quits on his own, some know when to quit while still on top other dont. Granted, Agnelli didnt approach this in the best of ways, but this clearly should be Alex' last season. And i hope that he doesnt make a big deal out of this, we dont need any distractions, everyone needs to be behind the team.
Because they are obviously the same :agree:

I don't come here to annoy anyone, I just point out how ridiculous you look for crying about how the mgmt are treating him wrong. Get over yourselves.

And btw, it looks like I've annoyed quite a few people. Why are you guys still discussing this? If you don't care, why are you still responding?

None of those you mentioned is comparable to Del Piero. It doesn't matter at all if he is physically prepared or not, of if he can play top football anymore or not, he is Del Piero, we have to let him quit when he wants. That's not too much to ask. We just shouldn't let this finish like this. It's a couple more years max. If I were Ale, I'd quit playing football THIS year but he decided to stay, that's all. You are not going to push him out of squad, never.

I didn't respond, it's got to be more challenging if I'm ever to respond. I like you, hence the advice.

You know i have nothing against you melo but you try too hard. I don't know when u became a juventus fan of when you seriously started following the team but those of us who have been doing that for a decade now have every right to moan and complain about how the management treated Ale. And if any random troll would come in and say something in favour of the decision ppl will just ignore him after 2-3 posts but the thing with you is we know you and most of us are friends with you. Talking about ale and amauri issue (among many others) they way u do clearly shows you are a newbie die hard juve fan (and there is nothing wrong or unworthy about that) and you are just fingering the peeps who grew up watching ale.
But fact is since a couple of months you have been trying too hard, and m not excatly sure what u are trying to achieve. Another example is ' i would have done same thing if i was amauri' and 'amauri did nothing wrong' and the same posts you posted like 20 time over and over again which makes you look like a tool. Do you feel like you are the only reasonable mature faggot on the whole forum? if not then stop trying to act like one.

Be yourself...the partly funny and a little irritation guy you are and we liked...not this ass who is trying to sound all mature and comes off as a massive pillock

To be completely unbiased - I'd say Zanetti could be compared to Del Piero.
Yes he is Del Piero, but for some - The club is bigger than the legend. We didn't keep Boniperti till he was 40 and we didn't keep Platini till he was 40.

That said, I'd be glad to keep him for another year, but right now we have Iaquinta and Toni out. What happens if we - lets say sign Jovetic.

Matri, Vucinic, Quagliarella, Jovetic and Del Piero. The latter will get 10 minutes combined half season. I can see why the club are thinking of not renewing his contract.

@Woody - I was DP fan before a Juventus fan, and I've been a fan for over 10 years. That said - Sorry for having my own opinion if it's too strong sometimes. I can't hate on Amauri just because he has high wages, I just can't. I respect that you disagree with me. I am not trying hard for anything, I am just backing my opinion.

It's not the club vs the legend, Melo. The club and the legend is the same thing in this particular case which is letting him be a part of the squad for a couple more years, until he decides to retire. There is nothing wrong with benching him, better players must start. There is nothing wrong if he doesn't get more than 10 minutes combined in the whole season, the club is bigger than the player in what's good for the club, I totally agree with that. But letting him be a part of the squad is just what we give him because he is the most important player of the whole history of this club. It's not harmful for the team, it just shows him and the world that he means so much to this club that we let him have the last say for his retirement. It's not too much, it's no big deal. There is no other way I could see this happen and no other way I could see myself supporting and respecting this club.

You dont have to apologise for having an opinion, the way you say it comes of as trolling and clearly to an extent that is what you were trying to do. So you were a fan of del piero just like you were a fan of most of the azzurri team or you are a fan of balo or some other players you like or like i was a fan or few romanian players. That is not the type of fan we are talking about. and the way you are talking about this whole issue clearly shows you are not a die hard fan of Ale(and again i say there is nothing wrong with that) so stop classifying yourself as one.

Who is telling you to hate amauri? where did u get that from? In one post you say the management is right in getting rid of ale since its Juventus before any other player, even ale. And when amauri refuses to leave you defend him? You say he has done nothing wrong? You realise that makes you look like an idiot since its clear you choose neither a club legend or in the other case, the team itself?
You see what im trying to say here? its clear you are trying hard to stand out or you simply have no idea what you are talking about.

I wouldnt explain stuff like this to peeps who i dont know or care about.

I am not breaking any rules, why should I be infracted?
Just because you disagree with me?
You are breaking the rules by trolling. Want me to dig up your last 10-15 posts in this thread?

Preet, if you're referring to me I'm never gonna hand an infraction in Ale's thread. I'll always look biased if I do, I'll let other Mods handle I'm out of this. :D
