Ale didn't have a good game, not a bad one either. He got fouled quite a few times one of which led to a Lecce player sent off, a few good touches and that was all. The whole team was pathetic though.

But we need to adjust the expectations to our way of seeing things. Some here think that Ale has still got it and that he still can save the team on his own. They might well feel disappointed after seeing today's game. But those whose heads say no to his contract extension or those who's been repeating for ages that Ale is way past it can't expect him to do better than this, can they?

Yes. Last match of 07-08 season. One of Ale's best post-calciopoli performances. A perfect performance, he was amazing.

Btw, he was so class, as usual. Before the match he and Trez had 19 goals each, they both wanted the Capocannoniere. Ale scored first so he had 20. Then he got the first penalty, and like a perfect gentleman let Trez to take it.

Then he got another PK after an amazing run, and the rest is history...
