The team fell apart after CL heartbreak against Chelsea, after Mellberg's brain fart in Chievo draw and 2:3 against Genoa, where our very own Palladino and Criscito scored, if I remember correctly. At that point some of the old guard like Del Piero, Camoranesi started to play with different attitude as scudetto race was over and with another part of the gang Trez benched already they made Ranieri loose control over players. It wasn't the horrible tactics in those last 2 months of Ranieri that made us almost loose a secure 2nd spot, it was the players on pitch that just didn't fight for our colors.
I dont disagree the players apathy was visible and counterproductive in the end for sure, but the issue and main issue was and remains to be Ranieri. Its ridicolous to say it wasnt his tactics, even if their evermore pissed off efforts made things worse.

But pointing this out (btw funny to also ignore why they were like this, meaning Ranieri's awful coaching for last 3 months), veteran players plus others too (Ama, Gigi and et al all showed their displeasure) in the team growing ever more rebellious or distasted with Ranieri, is VERY VERY VERY different from blaming Ranieri's axing on Ale and basically Ale alone as it sounds like. That totally comes off revinionistic, and funnily also ignores the fact Ale with his game saving performances most of that season was the reason Ranieri's flaws were covered up that long (plus Momo INDISPENSABLE covering of the defence, no coincidence we fell apart when he was injured early spring).

Of course he doesn't, i think it would be silly to even think that he's not a big Del Piero fan.

Can we not argue without looking at a persons supposed prejudices(or lack thereof)? Can we not argue what Deneb is claiming without needing to ask whether he's biased for or against Del Piero?
Here would be a much better place to spend time in but it wouldn't happen.

I never said and I will never say that Deneb is claiming those things because he hates Del Piero getting away from an argument by accusing him of this or that. I simply think it's impossible not to dislike the guy assuming and believing all those stuff.

And this is why its good that marotta rejuvinated the squad

Where did i suggest such a thing. Do you think that i think that i like Del Piero as much as you or Alen do? Of course not, why would i suggest such a thing, Del Piero isn't even one of my favorite players, i'm pretty sure he's one of yours as a Juventus fan.

I never questioned your objectivity, in fact i thought it was pretty clear that we established that you can't really support Juve and hate Del Piero. That doesn't mean your assumptions are any less baseless, nor does the fact that you've watched most of Del Piero's games.

Point is, i still have not seen a convincing enough argument that he's been the reason behind Ranieri getting sacked. I still think its a far fetched claim to make. You know the club better than i do of course, being a fan and all, but i take comfort in seeing that a lot of people actually agree with me, Juve fans like you.

and saying i was 2 or 3 when DP started out when you obviously know that isn't true is personal, because it was so blatantly obvious that it was meant to belittle and discredit my argument. Very very disappointing from you, as i've always respected you a lot.
this part is for both you and hoori, i have neither the energy, time nor toleance to pain to rewatch the last games we had with ranieri and show you slide by slide how DP, if you cant take my word for it watch it yourself, you d be blind not to see how unpofessional he was.
for the bolded, you re obviously free to see things a different way, but to deride an opposing view you know little of bearing in mind like you said we saw much more of him. As for the reasons i requoted it for osman as well "he was one of the main reasons". I rarely care who agrees with me on what though opposing views from certain member will make me rethink, and theres little i have seen to make me rethink my position.
And finally for your last paragraph, it was not personal i really thought you were 2-3 in 93 last we spoke you said you were 20-21; i appreciate(d) your respect but i cant do more than say it wasnt ad hominem but rather to show i had more exposure which was already said in the last post

Fair enough, i'll take your word for it.

I can't say i remember those games you were talking about at the end of Ranieri's era. But i do watch a lot of Juventus matches, i think most members here know that, i don't remember that i ever got the impression DP was being unprofessional on the pitch. But I'll leave that for the likes of Osman and Hoori to answer that, as they would better remember those games you are referring to.

what am i assuming? was it a fact DP was being utterly unpofessional on the pitch in those last games? Fact. No one in management stepped in to remedy that? Fact. Conclusions on both our ends are opinions based on the facts at hand and how bias shapes them.
What did he do? I'd be very much thankful if you share what you saw with us.
