They were not forced, but that is not to say Ale's words have no weight at Juve. His presence alone in itself is an obstruction just like Henry at Arsenal & Raul at RM. If they wanted that to happen they would have hired a more tactically flexible cocah!

Del Neri was forced to sell Diego then, is that what you mean? Why wasn't he forced to just play Ale ahead of Diego instead? Why wasn't he forced to start the games with another formation? And why the board didn't sell Diego when the offer was 17m? He was going to take Ale spot's anyway, so tell me why did the board wait?

The board waited because they wanted to buy Dzeko over Krasic and were hoping to include Diego in the deal. Weren't you following the transfer season? And given that we sold him for a shitty 15 million, if there was a higher offer from Wolfsburg we would have accepted it.
