Last season with Giovinco and Diego in 4-2-3-1, we're getting great results and winning while Del Piero is injured. He comes back against Bordeaux and starts ahead of Giovinco in 4-2-3-1 and we start losing and havent been the same since. That is nothing but the truth.
no.... WRONG WRONG WRONG. DP is a genius and can do no wrong!!! :shifty:

This is exactly YOU who must answer that question. If the board wanted Ale to play, they would have hired a more tactically flexible coach not a coach who is known for playing 4-4-2. You tell me why didn't they? It would have spared them selling Diego for 10m less than what the club have paid for him.

You not answering this is why I won't buy what you say.

Cancer!

Only after he retires expect a great Juve. He couldn't take the super sub role and that destroyed our season. We had to sell the guy who took his spot so the cancer could play. Now enjoy his incredibly fat ass playing 90 minutes and killing this team.

Used to be gold, now he's murdering Juventus.
Looking past the unnecessary insults, you do have a point.

We will not move forward until he is adequately replaced. We had a good intern solution in Diego and Giovinco, but our management stupidly decided to offload both, which does lend some weight to your argument, although I wouldn't go as far as to say he is a cancer.

Now, this is not to say Del Piero is a shit disturber. It shows he is ambitious and still believes he can contribute.

The problem arises once you factor in his god like status at the club, as no coach, GM or president will ever dare make him a small part of the squad, even if objective evidence proves he should not be the focal point of our team anymore.

I don't believe we sold Diego/Seba because of him, but I do believe Del Piero casts a massive shadow, and this indirectly forces coaches into making space for him, which in this case did involve offloading 2 players. Even Ciro admitted last season it was difficult to keep Del Piero happy.

Whoever at the time made the decision to go after Marotta & DN thought it best to keep the duo together on the back of their ONE good season in Samp. They must have seen it as a packaged deal without looking at the bigger picture in hope that their luck would continue here. The minute that decision was made we were screwed.

Also didn't we buy Martinez to be a SS? wasn't that where he was playing at Catania last season when he was siuccessful? He comes here and is stuck out on the wing and the other SS is sold leaving us effectively with only one player for the SS position. How do YOU explain that?

EDIT: and our only other option for SS is loaned out with BS talk about him needing to mature and develop!

Quag is the SS we brought. Amauri and Iaq were injured so there was no other player available. But hey, if you think Martinez must play instead of Del Piero then okay, there is nothing left to discuss.

I never said he should start! It is just curious that we bought a player who was effective as a SS last season and have decided to stick him on the wing all of a sudden.

Also you have not addressed the points I have paised with regards to the removal of all persons who can play also SS. Can u really see Quag starting over DP? We have bought quag as a striker and part-time SS far as I see. There is no way they could expect us to fight for 3 titles with only 2 strikers and 2 SS!!

I've been a fan of Juventus since 1996 so anyone can guess my feelings about Ale but right now he's one of the biggest reasons why we are declining. If it's his fault or the coaches fault I don't know but he shouldn't be a starter. He's slowing our attacks down too much. Even though he might end up as our top scorer once again after this season if he keeps on playing every match (and DP fanboys will then use this as an excuse for him again), he won't score 20+ goals anymore. In addition to that, with him on the field the rest of our team is going to score way less because he's killing so many attacks with his lack of pace.

He should get the same treatment as Raul did in Madrid, accept the place on the bench or change clubs. No player is bigger than the club, not even Ale. And there's no place for a slow 35 years old striker in a club that wants to win trophies. Real knows that and we should too. I really don't want to see Ale dragging the club down after all he has done for us.

Edit: And for those who say that it's not Ale's fault we use 4-4-2 and Diego doesn't fit in, Diego was 3 times better in that second striker position than Ale with limited experience. Imagine how good he would have been after some more games.

people are making it sound like we are leaving messi on the bench to play del piero! At the moment we do not have a choice whether del piero plays or not!

And if we are selling all our creative players (Diego, Giovinco) to make him a starter what does that mean? Del Neri made it clear that Diego is going to be the starting SS this season. The board sent Diego away.

It means he has become bigger than Juventus and is dragging the club down (not an unusual case btw when the "icon" of a club gets old).
Can we blame the man for wanting to play? I agree he is not fit enough to start every match, but at least he has the determination to do so, whereas the rest of this team looks bored to bits.

I have not seen pricks in a long time. But you can expect pricks in these times.

One of the pricks called him a fat ass when he's 3x the size of our Captain.

As for VicCB, if you keep doing nothing else than posting in the Del Piero thread to troll then blame no one but yourself later on.
