When the time comes for him to retire, I want it to be on his terms. When he can still feel that he has something to give, not when it is evident to us and the sporting world that he can't.

Come in like a lion, and leave that way.

Proven wrong? Haven't you been proven wrongly enough already?
You're being thick on purpose. It's not what a player did 3 or 4 seasons ago, it's how good he is now. He's old, and last season was a disaster, and I don't see him becoming younger and able to dribble again and not lose the ball so easily. That's what I'm referring to, and honestly I don't give a crap if that makes me popular with you guys or not, I think Del Piero's finished.

I think you're full of ignorance.

Del Piero is finished when he decides and not when a prick like yourself comes in here and say how he's finished and that his dribbles are shit. Your posts are, not his dribbles. He's a diamond, he's the symbol of this team if you can't appreciate this then there's the Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi that you mentioned earlier you want. Real Madrid and Barcelona forums are easy to find.

Soap it.

Would you try to be less emotional? Yes, he has been the best or one of the best players in Juve's history, but time passes by for everyone, and he's become old and more of a liability precisely because people want to see him on the pitch no matter what.

And also, today's game is a lot faster and the most effective players are the ones that are capable of dribbling while having incredible pace, that's why Messi is the best player around, that's a fact.

You sir need to know and learn more about this game. Zidane preformed one of his best performances in his career at the age of 36. But of course the likes of you are not so familiar with the game and that it's more than speedy game, players like Zizou, Del Piero and Totti can make differences even if they're hitting their mid 30's.

So if Messi is the best player around means all speedy-less players should retire?:lol:Like my friend over here would say, you need to eat a bowl of fuck.

Del Piero is still bringing a lot of money to the team. If one ignores everything else, that alone is enough reason for the board to at least have him in the squad.

And frankly, with Del Neri's tactics we already have a direct rival for Del Piero, who was paid 25m eur. Looks like Del Neri will give advantage to Diego while DP will be his sub. There is nothing more to ask from this. We don't really get anything if Del Piero retires because he's a bench player now. It's one thing if he's the reason why we're not buying an expensive SS and if the purchase of such a player is conditioned by DP's retirement. But that's not the case, is it?

If Del Piero becomes a starter again, then it's gonna be either because Diego underperforms or because Del Piero plays great.

It's one thing to complain if Del Piero is a starter who slows down the game and plays shit. But that's not what's happening right now because Diego is obviously the preferred choice as a support striker.
