Hoori, you and I are going to respectfully agree to disagree on this topic.
I am all for blowing the whole thing up and starting all over again. I don't care if the team is mediocre for a couple of years, as long as there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
To me,though, that tunnel is blocked by heavy contracts to players who are well past their prime, whose huge contracts are a hinderance to any moves that Juve can make for the future, and I would rather they sell them for 50 cents on the dollar than have them stay around, even if it was at reduced wages and reduced roles.
I honestly think that it is time, and selfishly speaking, a revolution the likes of which we have not seen in decades might be the only thing that can get my hopes up for the future.
I'm sorry if this offends some people, but the sight of certain players who are well past their prime going out there and being a shell of what they used to be just gets me to the point where I'm numb, and I long to see a slew of new young players to root for.
You mention Giggs, raul, and Henry, but these guys are also surrounded by young talents on their squads, and are on teams that have a much larger financial backing than Juve does, so their exorbitant contracts are merely a blip on the financial radar screen. So of course, they can still be useful. How could they not be, when they are surrounded by so much talent around them? Do you think that any of those three would have the same kind of impact if they were here?
I don't think they would.
It's 5:55 in the morning here, and I'm at work, so its time that i actually start working
