Its amusing that every summer in the mercato we sign new players offensively and then the season starts and the player who ends up carrying us is ALESSANDRO DELLLLLLL PIIEEEERRRROOOOO..

For this matter I say...

FORZA ALE..

VIVA DEL PIERO..

For me, for the past 15 years he has been (and will continue to be till he retires) THE UNBEATABLE, MOST TALENTED AND MOST INFLUENTIAL FOOTBALL PLAYER IN THE WORLD.

i wonder what age did dp had there
end of 2002 that was
You're wrong, Rab :D.

It must have been 2004/2005. He's promoting F50 shoes in the picture, but not the first generation. The F50 was designed for the Euros of 2004, so I bet it must have taken a full season before the F50+ were introduced. He played with the blue/white version of that shoe during the World Cup of 2006. This shoe on the other hand is one of the last colours in which they produced the original F50's. My bet is that the pic dates from 2005. Maybe late 2004.

According to Gigli we wil start renewing current players' contracts as soon as we have resolved our (incoming?) transfers.
One of the first will be DP, contract renewal should be concluded before the start of the new season.

Wasn't F50 introduced late 02 or beginning 03? He officially started wearing them 04 like Rehan said, but even in 02/03 he was changing his boots from time to time. He wasn't sticking with a pair.

The F50 was adidas's boot for the Euros, so it would surprise me a lot. He could have played with a blackout version and the picture could have been taken before, but I think it dates from 2004. Definitely not 2002 though. Anyway, who cares :D.

Del Piero will score more goals this season than last becuz now he can focus on being a full fledged striker rather than the link between midfield and attack (as he had to do since we didn't have a real AM)
