even the remote idea of Alex leaving should not even be on the table. Forget his abilities on the field, his leadership is what we need especially for the next two years. It is critical to have his leadership skills and its not like he has nothing to offer on the field as imo he has a lot.

Having said that he still needs to compromise a bit. This club isn't in the same status as it was in the past financially. He needs to consider that, as he knows as well as everyone else that the most he can offer on the top level is two years.

Secco is just trying to put the pressure back on Alex imo.Its part of the overall game.

Incidently, I was channel hopping last night and noticed Alex featuring in the newest Oasis video, don't know what its called though.

This must be Noel Gallagher returning DP's favour of getting him tickets for the WC Final.

That's called efficiency. Touch the ball twice and score a game winner.

Touch the ball a hundred times and lose possession is called inefficiency.

It's very simple actually.
i wonder sometimes if you even understand football..... or that trez and dp are two dis-similar players who perform different functions. Trez could never play the creative role that DP does and that's the bottom line. They are both good in their respective positions.

Huh? Where did you see me mention anything about Del Piero or even compare them?

JUVE-DEL PIERO, Shakhtar in ambush

Secco have made no mystery about the probability that born some problems on Del Piero deal. Shakhtar Donetsk could in fact be ready to make an offer that could overcome 5 million euros every year.

Complete rubbish. Del Piero, who's a very wealthy man, is not going to spend one single day in Russia after his son is born FFS.

Its definitely a pressure tactic by Secco... but I think its more that he comes out saying we might lose him, everyone says, "we can't have that," Secco replies, "then I can't give him much of a wage drop," Beancounters say, "fine, just sign him."

This way Secco doesn't look incompetent to his superiors by failing to negotiate a wage drop.
