Retiring N° 10 after Alex is ridicolous. It will maybe take a long time to have that kind of player again and it will be hard to repeat his success but it isn´t impossible.

Also it is not fair to future Juventus players......

It's always ridiculous to retire a number.

Actually I would prefer Del Piero playing just for Juventus and leaving national team aside. There are new kids out there and desperate to play for the Azzurri. Alex doesn´t have the legs anymore for both Italy and Juventus. He should concentrate just on Juventus, like Nedved did.

Del Piero is not that important for national team anymore.

I agree, but then again Alex said he would always be there should the Azzurri need him - which is why I think this is all media BS, I bet alex doesnt even mind being on the bench for the azzurri, hes not stupid. He'll just be there in case he's needed, and Im pretty sure he understands that. So long as he thinks he can give something, he'll stay, but he doesnt demand much in return when it comes to the Azzurri. after all, the world cup is already sealed.

Anyone knows Italy's starting 11 for tomorrow, or nothing is official yet?
UNGHERIA (4-4-2): Fulop; Szelesi, Csizmadia, Juhasz, Vanczac; Hajnal, Vass, Filkor, Toth; Gera, Priskin. All. Varhidi

ITALIA (4-3-3): Buffon; Oddo, Cannavaro, Materazzi, Zambrotta; Gattuso, Pirlo, Aquilani; Quagliarella, Toni, Di Natale. All. Donadoni

Arbitro: Mejuto Gonzales (Spagna)

some of you must be blind and get a bit carried away with this DP devotion; sure he is a great player but to retire a number because of him is just stupid. First of all we will have great number 10's in the future, Platini was the best playmaker we have ever had. DP never was best player in Europe and I doubt he will be now.
Italian legend? he was always controversial in the Italy squad
he is a Juve legend, nothing more but he sure wasn't the best ever
cut this crap about his number
I guess some of you tend to forget so easily or just have blurred vision when it comes to Ale. He is great for Juve, nothing more.
Besides I hope to see even better in the future. I was only a kid when I saw Platini but he is the reason I became a Juve fan, most of you are too young to remember but he was awesome! show him respect, DP is nowhere near the player he was
