I don't understand how anyone can say that this management is doing good things at Juventus. I don't think we built up as strong a team as we could have. I especially don't think we made the right personel selections and we definately picked the wrong coach. Management needs to show respect to DP. This is BS>

well, actually managing to keep Buffon, Neddy, camo and Trez was good. also keeping nocerino and Palladino.. we can not say that they did not do good job.. but sometimes they seem really to be idiots. at least from what hear within the media

True. But, I am mad at them right now. They have done an average job at best. I think they should have handled Trez, Nedved and DP a lot better than they did. The Nocerino move I applaud them on, but he is so good it should be common sense.

hey guys just chill, this is why they call it a negotiation. He is nearing the end of his career and is prone to injuries. I think it is only normal that he is offered less money.
Just relax, they will sort it out.
But I am getting sick and tired to read these posts of Moggi wannabees who start dissing our board every time some story is out in the media.
You call yourself fan to bitch about Secco, Blanc, Ranieri... every time you don't have it your way.
If you were in charge we would be bankrupt by 2008. Buy this player and that one and give DP the money he wants.
These things are way easier in Football Manager, some of you tend to forget that.

Del Piero Latest In Juve Contract Dispute

Juventus skipper Alessandro Del Piero is now involved in a contract dispute with the Old Lady.

Del Piero is seeking a contract on the current terms running through to 2010, while TuttoSport claim that the Juventus bosses are offering him one year less, and that too on reduced terms.

Juve have had contract disputes with quite a few of their senior players this summer, with both David Trezeguet and Mauro Camoranesi coming close to leaving the club.

Gigi Buffon and Pavel Nedved will also stay on (though the issue was less financial in their case), but it seems like their skipper's long term future is now in question.

There is no immediate threat, but Del Piero, now 32, will be a free agent next summer unless he pens a new contract.

He wants a two year extension on exactly the current terms (5 million euros a season), while Juventus are offering him 4.5m, and one year less.

The prospect of heading into the season with a cloud over the Del Piero's future is not what the Old Lady bosses will have in mind, but they will need to up their offer in order to strike a deal.

C'mon. You can't just sit there and support everything also. Being a fan doesn't mean being a mummy. I disagree with a lot of the moves. I disagree with the way they are treating DP. I disagree with Ranieri. I had confidence in Moggi. Sorry. That stuff takes time to build up. I am not an easy sale. We have to be able to work out a better agreement. This is not a good move.

I really can't believe that you guy are falling on this BS rumour. Our board might be stupid but not that much, and they know what DP means to the club and fans ad if he doesn't signe new contract they will be raped by the fans. This is just media BS trying to increase sell of newspapers and just rember that all our star player were also in "dispute" with our board and all of them happily signed new contracts. So just chill guys and don't bash the board immediatly.

There is a difference between supporting the board and at least waiting to see what is going on before jumping to conclusions.

It most likely is yes.
And by the way, how many people sign their first presented contract if they go for a job somewere, there are always negotiations in stuff like tha.

It's not a rumour and it's not bullshit, but it doesn't mean anything. Both sides are only beginning the talks and thus it's only logical demand and offer aren't the same. DP will sign in two weeks. No worries.

negotiation skills .... if you were the board, of coz you would try to minimize the costs of everything possible, they are on the side of protecting juventus' interest. If the board accepts the offers by Buffon, Trez, Camo, Alex immediately without any negotiation, juventus has to spend 4-5m more in a year.

I can't imagine what I would feel if DP gets displaced away. Damn it. That negotiations and shit are real important things. But agree on Trigger to chill:smoke: even though it's a good movement to criticize this news. Just to show some support for DP AND JUVE.
