lol Funny thing is DP never even said he'd leave, all he said is Juve board has to convince all the players that we'll be strong next season, and make believe.

Stop assuming stuff

Del Piero is talking about leaving, because of competitve and prestigious reasons. I'm sure playing in Japan meets his prestigious standard.
Why do I feel that you're arguing just for the sake of It. Try to dig up some pages back and read what Wenger, Ferguson and Ancelotti stated about Del Piero when Juventus were demoted before you come up with silly posts and try to show that you're capable of "bla bla".

Del Piero's wages currently isn't like before incase you didn't know. He stated many times aswell that figures aren't really his goal.

Anyway, Del Piero wouldn't leave Juventus so lets stop this talk.

Irony fits here very well, as this is exactly the kind of "bla bla" you're talking about.

I'm not arguing for the sake of it. Del Piero states, those quotes aren't made up, that he doesn't even know that he's staying. I agree with Rebel, that it sounds like a little childish jealousy towards the attention Buffon and co. are getting. I couldn't give a shit what Ferguson and Ancelotti said frankly and it has nothing to do with this anyway.

It's still the highest at Juventus, which means a it's a lot. I never said by the way that wages are his goal, but his current wages do scare away any would-be suitors.

Anyway, Del Piero wouldn't leave Juventus so lets stop this talk.
I agree, all the more reason his statements are a bit silly.

Of course those quotes aren't made up, but we all know how media and press do usually react with Del Piero, since 8,9years they've been criticizing him and putting nothing on his tongue but lies.

Del Piero didn't and will never threat, unlike Gigi and Trezeguet, and EVEN If he'd say something like "I'm expecting our board or mang to do some work for this summer" he's the captain of this team, he's been with us since almost 14years now.

I believe he has the right more than Buffon and Trezeguet.

I get your point, no need of wasting your finger on defending him...

You're twisting the story. He said ; "I must convince my companions to remain? But who has said that I remain at Juventus? Where I would go in goodbye case? I do not know, I do not want to think about it now, but between two or three months, when the situation of classification and of the market is clearer".

Of course he doesn't have any less right than trezeguet or Buffon to moan, but trez and buffon should also shut up and simply honour their contract instead of sniffing about and playing with the club and it's fans. It's ugly. When the captain(especially this one), of whom everyone excepts him to stay without a doubt, makes similar comments it's even worse. He might have more 'right', but it's also more disrespectful to the shirt and especially the fans.

Buffon, Del Piero or whoever are not bigger than Juventus. They are acting like they are.

It sounds very silly anyway.

David Trezeguet and Gianluigi Buffon have confirmed they will only stay with Juventus if they can challenge for the Scudetto straight away, so how does Del Piero see the situation?

“It’s not just them the club has to convince, but me as well! Of course all of us want to fly high and be part of the great side that is Juventus. I’m sure the directors will do everything they can to give us a competitive squad.”

i believe these are his true words and not the made up words like above, must be gazetta who publiced it too create some chaos in Juve.

Guys guys, calm down..
Del Piero for the past years have always told the press that he doesn't know what the future holds for him and that everything is possible... EXCEPT last summer when we all know and we all needed to hear him say he is staying no matter what.
Although I agree with Del Piero about the squad reinforcement, i.e. Boumsong replacement :D, this sounds to be a press game.
It also could be a a little salt to the maangemnt food to let them be agressive about their transfer plans.

:agree:
Del Piero said:
“There are no internal divisions”

At the end of the day’s training session, Alessandro Del Piero spoke to Juventus Channel and underlined how his statement after Saturday’s clash against Milan has been misinterpreted: “I’m a little stunned by the emphasis given to my comments following the Trofeo Berlusconi. The truth is there are no internal divisions here and we all know what we have to do: our job as players is to take Juventus back into Serie A, while Alessio Secco and the other directors concentrate on building a great team”.
